Jonathan got me into incredible shape. I was out of shape and chubby prior to seeing Jonathan. Now I'm lean, stronger, and at a healthy weight. Also, he is a great martial arts and Krav Maga coach. I've been training Krav classes elsewhere but not getting the results I wanted. Now my punches, kicks, maneuvers, and techniques are on point.
OJ is 1 of the best personal trainers I've ever come into contact with. For starters, your initial meeting is a workout created to personalize your strengths and weaknesses for future sessions. Afterwards, he speaks with you regarding your target goals, time frame, ideal weight etc. Meanwhile, he's compiling a special profile just for you in his computer. He sends weekly updates on your progress like: body fat percentage and weight loss/gain. In addition, he also sends motivational text messages during the week. He really is the most professional personal trainer I've ever encountered. I'm just 3 weeks into my training sessions and I'm already seeing results. Thanks OJ!

When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. I definitely recommend Hugo for anyone looking for a personal trainer, you will not regret it!
Donna is an amazing trainer. She really listens to my needs and helps me reach my goals. She knows when to push and when to ease up. She truly understands the human body, building muscle and increasing strength. She is very passionate about what she does and it shows. She checks on me outside of my training sessions to make sure I'm eating healthy and doing my cardio.
Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. I always look forward to see how he will challenge me with cardio, strength and balance and I am never disappointed! Jobi always takes the time to listen to my questions about fitness and nutrition and always provides sound advice. I usually shy away from recommending people or businesses, but with Jobi and Fitness Comes First I say Go Now! You will NOT be disappointed!

Manuk gave me an absolutely 5 STAR work out EVERY SINGLE SESSION. Honestly if you are serious about your body goals and are going to commit to work out and have a healthier eating, I totally recommend going to Manuk for training, you would be working hard and he won't give up on you. He really knows what he is doing and was able to answer every doubt I had about the proper way to do any exercise, doubts about the diet I was having before and why I was not seeing results in other gyms or training by myself. I had a great experience and changed the way I was training for the best, so I thought it would we worth to leave 5 stars here, so hopefully this is helpful for anybody who is willing to work hard and wants to achieve great results on their body.
What started as a way to train for a Spartan race has become a game-changing part of my life now. I found Gabriel of Devine Physiques through Thumbtack back in November 2016, and the main thing I wanted to focus on was capability. I figured that body aesthetics would improve (and yo, they did), but what I wanted most of all was to be able to lift heavier loads, move faster, and increase my endurance. All of that is happening, and I've been getting better every week working with Gabriel. I love the variety and cycling of workouts that we go through. Each session is a solid workout, with Gabriel correcting your form and keeping you safe along the way. One cool thing we did was a workout entirely dedicated to learning the complete muscular anatomy of the body, and performing workouts that pinpoint each muscle and group. Aside from just being really informative, this kind of work helps you visualize and feel what you're supposed to be doing in the future. Needless to say, I crushed that first Spartan race and have signed up for several more since then. But while those races are fun, they meaning they once carried pales in comparison to what it feels like to live a healthier lifestyle, and change my body for the better. I'm not training for a race now, I'm training because that's who I am now. And with all of that said - I'm so grateful to have found Devine Physiques.
Great training sessions!, Aaron is very dedicated and knowledgeable when it comes to targeting a specific muscle, mitigating injuries, improving strength, proper meal intakes and overall fitness. One thing I liked is that during my first session he evaluated my strength and weaknesses, then targeted my work outs based on that. Aaron's sessions are totally worth it and I would recommend them to anyone. He is very professional and will push you by encouraging you, if you're looking for an encouraging instructor and for results, you'll definitely not regret this...he definitely stands out from any other trainer!
Amazing experience! Very professional. Starts off with a sit down consultation listening to your goals and concerns and customizes workouts and has exquisite one on one training sessions. Also gives homework (workout routines) the days you aren't training. Shares info on nutrition and is always checking in on you to see how things are going. His knowledge is very high, and he truly cares for his clients. I feel so much better and healthier, also very excited to workout, because it's customized for my goals and its because of Gil.
In just 8 weeks Judy did amazing things with my post baby body. I lost 10 pounds and developed muscle tone all around. Her unique training style is addicting and always leaves me wanting more. I feel stronger, more confident and better then I've felt in over 4 years. She is a true gem with years of experience and tailored training that meets the clients needs. Besides all her amazing work, she is a sweet person, hardworking mother and passionate in all she does. Best part... she's baby friendly, so all you new moms that can't get to the gym, no excuses. She is well prepared for baby visitors. :)
When I talked to her over the phone just to do basic free consultation with her, I already knew that she was knowledgeable and I had some good feelings about doing a first session with her. I have been training with her for about 5 months, I was seeing her 3 to 4 times a week first, but now, seeing her once a week as she has given me enough confident to do right training on my own, and seeing her once/twice a week still helps me to see that Im steadily staying active and keeping my ideal weight. I had a big belly (whoops) and I wanted to get rid of it and start eating healthy and living healthy. Seeing her 4 times a week for the first month and half (maybe for like 2 months or 3 months actually) really helped me to squeeze myself. I realized how my ideas about "healthy eating" was not actually that healthy at all by getting meal plans by her. Also, her training is hard yet not boring. She does all kinds of sports and is good at incorporating them into conditioning. She will push you, and if you are the type of person who gives up so easily, she may just drop you, as she is a warrior and she loves people that have 'can do attitude'. She is there to reach your goals, but if you don't have the attitude to change your life, then there is nothing anyone can do for you. She tells all the time, YOU have to want it bad enough and I will help you to get there. But if your heart is not there, I can't help you. She is right, and she has motivated me in so many ways, and these days, I feel like I get attentions from ladies while walking into a store or walking down the street. I feel good and I know I look so much better than before. If you feel like getting trained by a warrior who knows how to make you like a warrior (I mean to reach your goals, not to train to go to war or anything..), contact her.
I began working with Carlos in December 2015 already having knee and ahoulder issues from neglecting my overall health. When we met I expected we would start our workout program then & there. But Carlos sat me down and thoroughly went through a questionnaire with me asking about my medical, work, and recreational history. He then had me go through a series of movements and exercises that helped him understand what my body was & wasn't capable of, which to my surprise wasn't much. This showed me that he was very particular and detailed about his approach to executing my program. Having trained with several other trainers in LA I quickly realized that I was not just walking into our training sessions to break the usual sweat. We did rehabilitation work for my knees and shoulder then started to build the other areas to help support those weaker tendons & ligaments that were causing discomfort. Although the work was not easy Carlos made sure to make it fun and educational at the same time constantly explaining what the purpose of certain exercises were and why we executed them in the manner that we did. Overall, Carlos helped me FEEL BETTER which allowed me to move better and now I'm doing more activities outside of the gym than I thought I would be able to do given the condition I was in when we firt met. I would strongly recommend hiring Carlos to help you with your fitness and health related goals. He has a wealth of knowledge and is so eager to share it with anyone and everyone willing to listen and utilize it. For the foreseeable future I will continue to work with him and refer friends and family to him with the certainty that he will have their best interest at heart.
Jeremy and I had our intro class and he assessed my level to gauge what training progression he can give me. He’s very pleasant and totally understood what my goals are. He also said highly informative things about how muscles work and what the moves are supposed to be targeting. He made me do some exercises that got me winded already and then he said “imagine that but 3 rounds of it for the next sessions”. Exactly what I want and need. I am excited to work with him and to get whipped into shape.
I have recently started training with Eddie, not the first trainer I have had, although definitely the best to date. Finding a personal trainer who makes you feel comfortable enough to reveal your biggest flaws, is most definitely a challenge. Eddie has patience, taking the time to explain and demonstrate in a comprehensive manner what YOU are doing and why. He has a serene demeanor while still being regimented and effective, paying attention to his clients needs and goals. Hands down, he masters the combination of being effective and supportive, not an easy feat but he masters it with grace.

It's my first time ever trying personal training and I definitely got way more than what I expected. Daniel's method changed my point of view about fitness and health. I have learned so much and I can see small positive changes happening on me, not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. I grew up playing sports and dancing, so I have had several injuries ranging from mild to severe (almost needing surgery). I have a stage 2 borderline stage 3 meniscus tear in my left knee. I have dislocated my left shoulder several times throughout my life. Daniel has helped in increase my range of motion with my shoulder and also increased my flexibility so my legs and knees don't hurt as often. Daniel really is an excellent personal trainer, he pushes you to do your best and won't let you get away with complaints. He's very fun to train with as well. He changes the workouts frequently so you don't get bored and I would highly recommend him.
I found Amber when a mutual friend of ours recommended her for what I was looking for with my personal goals (lose weight, get strong and healthy). I wanted to do crossfit but I was too intimidated to go into a crossfit gym because I felt like my fitness wasn't up to par, so I chose to do one on one training with Amber. She was extremely friendly and approachable and obviously loves what she does. She helped me modify the movements for my injuries and my level of fitness. She also helped me make a training plan that I could do on my own. With Amber's help, I've just been able to join a crossfit gym and not feel like I shouldn't be there. Unlike other trainers I've had, I don't dread seeing Amber before we work out, I look forward to it!
