Allan saved me from severe pain yesterday. Not only was he able to accommodate a last minute appointment, he was also an excellent massage therapist. His background in physical therapy sets him apart from other massage therapists. He also seems to care about his clients and want to make sure they feel better.

Rachel is a great trainer and I highly recommend her services for your training needs. From the moment I first met her, she’s been professional as well as very personable. She continues to impress me with not only her positive disposition but also her vast knowledge of physical training. She is very thorough in explaining what needs to be done during each session. Each workout is challenging yet new, and all are designed to not only target and help me strengthen and tone key areas and muscle groups, but she also makes modifications, as needed, to meet the physical challenges I have with my prior knee injuries. She stresses the importance of performing each exercise correctly, and always observes me to ensure that I maintain proper form when working out. Rachel also advises me on my nutrition choices and emphasizes the importance of stretching as well, which has helped me tremendously with issues I’d been having with plantar fasciitis prior to coming to her sessions. In closing, she’s very hands-on and is, without a doubt, the best trainer I’ve had thus far. I’m starting to see positive physical changes with my body, as a result of my sessions with her and highly recommend her if you’re looking for a trainer that will be with you every step of the way.

Over a year ago, I came down with bilateral pneumonia, which led to acute respiratory distress, hypoxia, and acute kidney failure. I was in a coma for 10 days and in the hospital for 30. In the months to follow, I'd have to regain the ability to breathe on my own, the strength to walk without help, and the natural function of my kidneys and lungs. On top of all of this, I'm a seriously overweight diabetic. Needless to say, recovery has been rough. After 10+ months of follow up appointments and physical therapy, I was given the all clear to start working with a personal trainer. I reached out to half-a-dozen different people before finding Emmett. I was incredibly nervous to start training. What if I can't do the exercises? What if I lose my breath and panic? What if I'm the only fat person there? The self-talk was real! Regardless, I showed up the next day to train...and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Emmett has never once made me feel self-conscious about my weight or lack of physical strength. He's patient and kind while, at the same time, pushing me to try harder and be better. He modifies workouts to fit my capabilities while, at the same time, modifying my mindset and offering encouragement if I just need that little extra push to believe in myself. He's constantly aware of my medical limitations but cares enough to call me out on my excuses. He works around my busy schedule, is easy to connect with, and checks in on my diet daily. When I started with Emmett, I weighed 280 lbs. today, I weigh 248. When I started with Emmett, I couldn't do a single push-up. Today, I can do 80. When I started with Emmett, losing my breath would spin me into a full blown panic-attack (PTSD from the coma). Today, he calmly coaches me through regaining my breath and concurring that fear. I have a long, long, long way to go and, hands down, Emmett has been my best investment towards recovery and health. I can't recommend him enough. If he can help me, he can help ANYONE.

As my 60th year approaches. Adam invited me to join him in the gym to help me with my mobility, strength and general movement. Being in the construction industry he needed to assess my overall physical stature as I was in poor shape. He set me daily movements and stretches which when combined became a progressive step towards toning without pain. Because Adam was clear with his instruction, I have continued these movements each day which have allowed me improve my overall posture and wellbeing. Jonathan

There are many great things about MOTUS but the best thing is that it is ALWAYS one on one care. You are not passed on to an aide or an assistant at any time during your treatments. You always receive treatment by the physical therapist. Thank you MOTUS!

I am a certified yoga therapist Rx and a certified level III reconnective healing practitioner. I am trained in the comprehensive yoga therapy program from Loyola Marymount University. In yoga therapy, we are trained to work with many different diagnosis. For instance, some of my clients have various types of cancer, peripheral neuropathy, low back pain, sciatica, neck pain, prenatal, postpartum and so on. We have been trained to approach the diagnosis in a holistic mind-body-spirit approach. We will work on healing your heart from the inside out. We will also work on the alignment and understanding the physics of your body. Quantum physics has proved that science and spirit are simply two different sides of the same coin, and that observation changes the outcome. The reconnective healing work is a separate modality I use to accomplish our holistic goals. It is new, effective, different and potent. It is truly something to experience.
