I LOVED working with Amina. I was looking for a photographer to take some pictures of me for my website. As soon as I saw the Amina's pictures on her website I knew she was the one for me. Our initial phone conversation I found her to be down to earth and understanding of what I was wanting. She wanted to ensure that she was very clear on what 'look' I was wanting so she could deliver what I was wanting. We were able to do the shoot really fast and then got the pictures to me so quickly. From our first conversation to me having the photos was probably not much more than a week. The pictures are amazing, she did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.Dec 1, 2017Verified
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My interest for photography started while being in front of the camera. I grew up in Sweden, and modeled from a young age up until my early 20's. So being in studios and on different sets is something that always felt natural to me. This has been a great advantage for me as a photographer since I can relate to the person I'm photographing, while also viewing it from a perspective of being both in front and behind the camera. It has helped me communicate and understand the person I'm photographing better. Probably in a way that I couldn't have done without that experience. In 2011 I moved from Sweden (where I'm from) to Los Angeles, to go to college. I graduated in 2014 with my photography degree!
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have worked with a large variety of customers; women and men in different ages. Everything from private people that wants portraits, to actors, and companies. I shoot anything from artistic portraits, to candid lifestyle photos, head shots. dating profile pictures, and much more. And I'm always happy to help with direction, and guidance with posing, styling and creative ideas. Communication is essential when shooting to make sure we're at the same page. I always work with the photos in post production and plan out locations (unless my clients already have one in mind), and come with suggestions to enhance their ideas.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Whenever you're looking for a photographer, always view their websites and put a little research into them. It will make the process easier to choose. Get to know their style and if it's what you're looking for. We all have our different styles and approaches to photography which makes each photographer unique.
