- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This type of work found me. I have always worked out and had an interest in fitness. Friends and people I did not know would always tell me that I should be a trainer because they found me to be motivating and positive. It took me awhile to find my calling, but one day, I just decided to do it. To take the advice of my friends and others and just go for it...to become a trainer. I thoroughly enjoy helping others achieve their fitness goals, but most importantly, I love seeing their emotional transformation. A person can be fit on the outside, but still see an unfit self internally. My goal has always been to help my clients transform physically as well as internally.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to find someone you can connect with. If you cannot connect with your trainer, then your workouts will feel dull and uneventful. You have to be able to convey your needs to your trainer without feeling intimidated. Connection is key.
