Introduction: I teach private piano lessons to children and adults. I teach mainly classical music but will also teach popular music if you want to play that. Piano lessons also include music theory so that you understand the structure of the music that you are playing. I teach correct technique as a means of expressing the music. I have an encouraging teaching style and gently correct mistakes while praising good playing. I have prepared numerous students for the certificate of merit program through the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) of which I am an active member.
