- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When a potential client first contacts us I go over all the information that applies to their event so they know exactly what we offer and what the fee would be. If they decide to book I put their event on the calendar, hold the date for them and send them a contract. Our contracts are clear, easy to read and understand, with no fine print. There is a copy for the client to keep and a copy that they sign and return with the deposit. Once we receive the contract and deposit we contact them to confirm as well as send them a receipt for the deposit. Then of course before their event we go over the music and details for the occasion.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was living in a home with a couple of roommates and we would have great parties about 3 or 4 times a year. I had an excellent stereo system and a large record library so I took charge of the music. Our parties were always a big hit and people started asking me to do the music for their parties. My DJ business just took off from there.
