FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am now only teaching online lessons, so instead of my normal $80 an hour I am charging $45 per hour per lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't follow a curriculum based teaching method. I feel that this is too rigid and outdated, and a lot of my students want to play for enjoyment instead of trying to be the next Mozart. I ask my students what their personal goals are, whether it be to be able to understand basic concepts and make their own music, learn fundamentals and go through a traditional classical curriculum, or just playing casually so they can enjoy the art of music. From there, I build a lesson plan specifically for my student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I passed the highest grade for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in piano when I was 16. I graduated from University of La Verne in Business and Music. I have a classical and jazz piano album with all original called Hybrid Behavior available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc. I recommend the song "Waves" and "Downtown Boogie" if you can't listen to the whole thing. I also wrote/compose/produce my own music and music for other artists. You can listen to my music on my Soundcloud! I play at several churches, including St. John Vienney's parish in Hacienda Heights and St. Bruno's in Whittier. I am also available for hire for weddings, funerals, quinces, etc.
