The cake was beautiful and tasted great. I just didn't think the cake would be that small visually. Everyone got cake (there was definitely enough to feed what I requested) But I've seen other people request the same servings (at different bakeries) and their cakes was much much larger.
We hired David for a going away party. He prepared tacos with 3 different types of meat (pork, chicken, beef), which included all the extra items to add to your taco. I have nothing but good things to say about Daves Oyster Shak and Grill. David responded to emails within 24 hours or less. He went out of his way for us to sample his food, before we hired him. He was flexible and accommodating with minor changes in the guest total right before the event. The set up and staff were very professional and friendly. We noticed our guests hanging out and chatting with David and his staff, even after they received their food. Many guests went back for more food 2 or 3 times. David has an outgoing personality and a wonderful flair for cooking. In addition, to his tacos, rice and beans, I high recommend his Rajun Cajun Shrimp. We hope to have a chance to hire him again to try the oysters and any other items he suggests.
I just had a lovely Christmas dinner party at our home for 10 couples. Nicolas cooked for us and it was amazing. He spent the entire afternoon at our home preparing dinner while we were decorating and putting the final touches on things. It was as if an old friend was in town helping us prepare, we listened to music, sang and laughed. When our guests arrived they were wow'd at the thought of having a chef come and cook. This was our first time at having someone come into our home and prepare a meal and we would definately do this again. Nicolas was spectaular and I would recommend him to anyone!
Sary is incredibly gifted in her craft as a Pastry Chef. She has a wide range of skills when it comes to making a variety of pastries. Her cakes, pies, rum balls, macaroons, and all of the numerous other baked goods she makes are all delicious. Not only are they delicious but her decorating skills and presentation are better than some of the best bakeries I've been to!
I've sampled numerous dishes/pastries Valerie has made and you will not find a better caterer! She's a perfectionist and wants to make sure you have the best experience with her food. I can't recommend her enough. She made my grandson's 1st birthday cake from a photo on the internet (we chose Toodles from The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). Not only was it spot on, but absolutely delicious. The marble cake was moist and tasty, the buttercream frosting was sublime (not too sweet), but the best part of the entire cake was the fresh raspberry filling. Once my grandson tasted it, he tore the top layer of his little cake off to get to those berries! I can't say enough about Valerie and her cooking/baking skills. Once you've had her food, you'll never want anyone else to cook/bake for you.
Chef Molly and her staff did a great job preparing brunch for 35 people at our house near Stanford. The meal was delicious, everything was really nicely presented and Molly was ready plenty of time before my guests arrived. The french toast was a huge huge hit. The best part was that I was able to hire and pay for her directly through Thumbtack without ever picking up the phone. She was able to coordinate all through messages and the contract was simple. She was able able to adjust the price to work within our budget. I would recommend Molly and Organicopia if you're looking for clean, healthy, delicious food at a reasonable price with great service!!
