Introduction: I’m Marta. Originally from Poland I have lived all over the world. Mountains of Sierra Nevada are my home, and I travel far and wide to both shoot adventurous weddings and pursue my outdoor obsessions. My MFA in Photography as well as decades of experience in rock climbing and outdoor skills make my photography skillset very unique. I will hang of ropes, hike for miles, and swim in ice cold rivers, to get your shot. I like to use natural light, and catch the moments between the moments. If you have me shoot your wedding photos they will be bold, dramatic, dreamy and compelling. I love wedding photography, because it provides me with an opportunity to take photos when people feel their best, look their best and are surrounded with their loved ones. It’s an honor for me to witness and photograph that. Doing wedding photography in Lake Tahoe and Yosemite Valley allows me to get unique, beautiful, bold and down to earth photos of your wedding day. I get out a lot and know many great locations! I was born in Warsaw, Poland and graduated with Masters in Fine Arts from Universidad Castilla-la-Mancha in Cuenca, Spain. I like to travel - I lived in Poland, Spain, Brazil, Hawaii & California and I speak five languages. I first came to the US to follow my passion for rock climbing in 2001 heading straight for Yosemite Valley. Since then I have been rock climbing, kitesurfing and paddling as much as I can. Other than weddings I love to photograph people in their natural environment - adventure sports, nature, and extreme lifestyles. I tend to focus on women athletes.

Marta was such a pleasure to work with, an absolute professional - and I would highly recommend her. My wife and I were so pleased with everything about the day, most of all how wonderful our pictures turned out. After our initial consultation she was more than accommodating as our plans for the day evolved, helping us to find a second shooter, a videographer, and had suggestions for a variety of vendors in the Lake Tahoe area. On our wedding day Marta had the perfect combination of a laid-back attitude while being assertive when needed, making sure that we had all of the shots we requested, but without making the day stressful. And afterwards, she provided us with all of the final photos quickly and in a variety of formats ready to go - One of the photos even won an award in a bridal magazine! If Marta is available for your wedding, book her immediately!

Marta has been a pleasure to work with. Her photos really capture the spirit of the day. We've got many awesome photos to choose from. My son had a wedding at Granlibakken, Lake Tahoe. Marta suggested a quick drive to the lake to take some shots too, I'm so glad she did, those came out really nice!

My husband and I eloped in Truckee earlier this year and had 18 of our closest family/ friends there with us. I knew working with Marta was going to be so much fun right from our first conversation. She guided me in choosing the right package for my needs and I appreciate that she asked me questions that made my creative thoughts start to flow. By the time we ended our consult conversation, I felt like we were both excited about my day. She is a delightful combination of sunshine, calmness, and positivity amidst all the chaos that a wedding day brings. Not only was Marta an amazing added positive energy to the experience, her eye and ability to capture the moments within the moments is so beautifully pictured in our photos. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge standard of $800 per small event/elopement wedding. The full wedding package is $2200. There is a travel fee if the event is more than 100 miles away. I also charge per hour basis, with $200/ hour. Per each hour of shooting I also add an hour for editing and file handling.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do a preliminary phone call. Once we agree on the needs, I prepare a contract. Upon signing a contract and 20% retainer paid, the event is booked. There is another phone call consultation closer to the date of the event to discuss specific needs and details.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Fine Art School in Cuenca, Spain. I earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography and Multimedia.
