I have been training with Hillary One on one twice a week for one year now. I had a serious back surgery in 2013 and had intense physical therapy sessions. When first time I met Hillary (I saw her training someone at the park and liked her & her methods), I was not even allowed to lift more than 10 lbs or run. Being an athlete (I used to teach Tae Kwon Do: I have 2nd degree black belt), I was very frustrated for not able to do many things (as my doctor's order) that I wanted to do. Hillary gradually did increase the weights and exercise intensity as well as instilling my confidence and belief in my capabilities. Now I can feel so much more confident in my daily activities and exercises. I can run without any pain or worries. Lifting up 40+ lbs weights for my arm training is one of my proud workout:). oh yes, I now can wear fly high heels if I want to. Lol. Thank you Hillary. I love you💗🙏
This place has done wonders for me. Phil is an excellent trainer who has a ton of experience in bodybuilding and overall body transformations. When Phil first started training me in 2012 I was 180lbs at about 15% bf I am currently 225lbs at about 12% body fat. I attribute almost all of my success to Phil's training and nutritional advice. I recently moved to Northern California and I call Phil on a daily basis for training advice. I have yet to meet a trainer like him.
I just want to start off by saying thanks a lot for the great workout Jacob! My arms and legs feel like noodles! Jacob has a great attitude and made the time he was training me enjoyable, even tho I was sweating and my body was feeling the burn! Jacob used a variety of different workouts that I've never tried out. I will be going back to workout with him again and see what level he can take me to. Thanks again Jacob!
I love practicing at PYPS. Wonderful studio, with beautiful instructors. I am excited to complete my 200 RYT training with Janet Parks of PYPS, so that I can begin teaching there as well.
Nic has been my personal trainer for the past three years. Over that time, my strength, flexibility and endurance has steadily improved. Nic is excellent at assessing your initial fitness and tailoring your training sessions to make them difficult, effective and enjoyable without ever being impossible. His tange of knowledge of training, anatomy and physiology is way beyond anyone else I have met. When he added massage and fascia stretching to his abilities, he made himself even more valuable. I had a shoulder that had been bothering me for some time. Nic fixed it in one session. If you are looking for genuinely good person with excellent skills in personal training, massage and fascia stretching, look no further. He is entirely professional in everything he does. I wish he worked closer to Rancho Mirage, but I first found him in Indio and have switched gyms twice since then to continue working with him. Every other client of his whom I have spoken to feel the same way. Thanks, Nic!
I started with Leslie 5 years ago, I wanted more strength training, started just once a week, moved to twice a week, now three times a week! She always makes it interesting, she is extremely aware of doing things right, she pushes me but is careful that I remain injury free! She works with my issues and has fixed most of them! She really knows what she is doing and is totally committed to making her clients the best they can be. I feel blessed to have her expertise working for me!
Before training with David I couldn't even make the varsity team at my high school. After only a week or two I could see massive improvements. Over a couple months of hard work and training he brought me from a girl on JV to an all league tennis player on the varsity team at Tam High School! Through David's motivation and training techniques, I became more confident in my game and overall a fitter person. He transformed me as a player and person and I owe my success in tennis to him.
I wanted a personal trainer since my M.D. told me at my age (59) I should exercise to build more muscle. I also have a back disability and a left knee without cartilage. When I told Mack about it he told me we would not being doing high impact exercises. He designed a personal work-out plan that I can do in the comfort of my home. Mack designed a back exercise routine to do for my back on a daily basis. I have been very pleased with his services and plan to recommend him to my girlfriend who is trying to get in shape.
Ben has corrected my swim stroke and long time bad habits to make my swim more efficient. I have gained endurance and speed. He pushes me to be better daily. I would highly recommend him to any swimmer, whether you are just learning or want to improve. He leads a Great master swim team where I'm pushed by new friends.
I definitely have a unique need regarding fitness. I have arthritic knees and I'm 22. It makes it kind of impossible to train on my own or at the gym. Joel made it so easy and his level of motivation is above and beyond. My sessions have been part training part physical rehab. For the first time I feel strong and able and it's all Joel's individualized techniques for every session. We are starting our third week and I'm super excited to see my progress! A little side note: I saw Joel working with a group of like 10 year old football boys and all I can say is he is a mastermind because those rowdy restless little guys were focused and gave it their all and they enjoyed every drill because Joel knows how to train and motivate so it feels fun.
I came to Alex after much research and word of mouth. Being a pretty active person all ready I was told he would push me to a new level. I've had other trainers before and have never really been challenged further than basic weight lifting. After my first session with alex I was sore in places I've never been sore before. I first thought his session where "too easy" and soon realized I was wrong. I have been brought back to basic and let me just say no trainer has EVER taught me how to stand correctly or the importance of certain small movements. The results are amazing but that's only if you put in the work. Highly recommend him. You will not only gain physical results but lots of new knowledge.
I have trained with Gustavo for a few years. He has helped me get stronger for soccer. He is hands down the best and most diverse trainer I have worked with in 20 years. He is passion for fitness is contagious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Steve is probably the best trainer I have had. When I first found him, I was skeptical that he would be versatile enough to fit my needs. I train for mma and I knew the fundamentals of working out, dieting, and lifting weights and needed an advanced and a tactical training system and plan in place for me. He came up with a great one within a matter of minutes after hearing my background and goals, and that plan has given me exceedingly good results. I gained a much higher flexibility through new methods of stretching and motion, much greater functional balance and power movements through different creative plyometrics, and used workout routines with pad work and footwork that helped with my timing, power, and endurance. Steve is also a very good listener and is open to suggestions while keeping you apprised of the reasons behind all of his exercises and routines. He is also not strictly an advanced trainer, but also, of course, knows the basics and is able to work with any level or pace that I needed to go in. I actually had a bad ankle injury outside of the gym and thought I would not be able to train again, let alone fight again. However, Steve called me and kept up with my healing progress and when I was able to step back in the gym, he took me back to basics and added amazing rehabilitation exercises that slowly, but methodically worked me back to where I was within about about a month. That is why it is awesome having a trainer that is not only seasoned in personal training, but in occupational therapy as well! He is also very motivating and makes every workout fun and enjoyable, even if they are tough. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to get in shape and better themselves. He seems to be able to meet any type of training, exercise, or diet needs at any level and is extremely personable, encouraging, and just a great guy to be around!
Throughout most of my gym-haunting years, I really never thought about using a personal trainer. To me, that concept was for the rich and famous, or the serious body-builders, or the pretentious. Besides, who wanted to be saddled with the responsibility of an exact time to show up and have someone always on your case about eating right and exercising? I kept my own schedule, was reasonably active, and generally kept my weight under control, or after a high peak, got it back under control with a variety of diet plans. Then I met Eric. He was the owner of the gym I joined in Palm Springs. He is extremely personable and outgoing, and always made sure to greet everyone by name. I started watching him with clients and noticed he was very patient, trained a variety of ages, fitness levels, and attitudes and didn't fit my concept of trainer, aka drill sergeant, at all! By encouragement and compliments he motivated people to keep pushing themselves and achieve new levels of strength and fitness. Meanwhile, he'd talk to me and suggest that maybe I could benefit from a trainer. No pressure just suggestions. Eventually, I succumbed to his charms and we started working together. What a difference that has made! Although I had used many gym machines over the years, I never really knew how to systematically and most effectively work my muscles and I certainly had steered away from free weights. With Eric's expert guidance, we tackle the whole body over the course of our three workout sessions per week. Each third of the body gets a great workout each hour session, then gets the needed rest while the next third works. In this manner the workout is more intense, more effective, and much more enjoyable than just wandering around the gym doing a little of this, a little of that, and ultimately achieving little of anything. Working with Eric is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. His knowledge of muscle physiology is superb, so he knows what exercises and equipment to use to work on specific areas, or what things to avoid when there is a physical limitation/injury. His demeanor is wonderful always cheerful, generous with praise, urging me to go just a little bit more or a little bit heavier. He makes the workouts fun and the time flies past. Does he let me get away with anything? Absolutely not! He knows when the weight is too light, or the reps aren't quite enough, or the exercise is too easy, so he changes it up. But, this is not the drill sergeant approach just a friend helping a friend do good things. He doesn't make me go past what I am capable of he just helps me increase that capability. With a variety of exercises and a guide at my side, there is no boredom, no wondering what to do next, and no inclination to quit early and go home. I look forward to my workout sessions, and relish the regular schedule which has become an integral part of my life. And, now that he has his own training space at Get-Fit, training is easier without having to dodge a lot of people at a standard gym. We have also worked on diet for weight loss. Eric has given me several diets which I have (mostly) followed. The regular accountability which I initially feared turned out to be a good tool for staying on track. I lost the weight I needed to lose, taking my time so it would stay off, and now can manage it relatively easily with the regular exercise and modified diet. When I slip a few pounds, we increase the cardio portion of the workout and I'm soon back on track. I've been working with Eric for more than four years now, and my experience has been tremendous. I've become addicted to working out rather than having to force myself to go the gym. I've lost 30 pounds, dropped 2-3 sizes, developed muscles that actually show on my body (and which I love to look at!), lowered my body fat to 18.6 percent, and feel more toned and stronger than I have ever been. Not so modestly speaking, I'm in much better shape than all of my senior friends and peers. But most importantly of all, I'm happy with me and what I've achieved. Personal trainers? - a definite YES! Eric the BEST!
I began working out with Lisa in my late 20s and have now worked with her for nearly 30 years. Lisa is highly credentialed in various fitness modalities and has an enormously kind and caring manner. I have trained with her 2-3 times a week over the years; each session was uniquely curated for my needs and health. We've used free weights, machines and unstable surfaces to improve balance. Lisa has created routines which involve resistance training, core work and aerobic activity. Lisa has also provided nutritional guidance for me along the way. Because of my work with her, I feel like I am in great shape for my age and have high levels of stamina. As proof, I climbed and summited Mt. Kilimanjaro for my 60th birthday! I highly recommend Lisa for improving your level of fitness, enhancing strength and overall well-being.
I met Coach Tim through his youth football training program he was doing for my son. I found out Coach Tim also offered in-home personal training which I thought was perfect for my schedule. He came to my home once a week for 5 months and he was very good at keeping me on track and staying focused on my goals. He was very knowledgeable and every training session was better than the last one. Tim new how to motive me when I needed it to continue my exercise sessions. I have recommended Coach Tim to a couple friends of mine and I would recommend him to anyone looking to lose weight and what he likes to say is "live a healthier lifestyle."
by far the best place around to train. very experienced coaches who are also active mixed martial artists. good for all ages and experience levels. come get the best training around or come check out the intense fitness program
I have been working out with Eric for eight years. I started at age 59. He has kept me motivated and flexible and pain free. He understands the aging body and what it takes to keep it ageless. I more than highly recommend him.
