3 lessons already and singing has been much more fun! She is positive, honest, personal, knowledgeable, and a great resource! She's taught me to sing more naturally and how to perform and I'm glad I have the opportunity to learn from her! She certainly has a knack for developing this beautiful art in her clients! Thanks Jan!

Great Teacher! His playing demonstrates a profound knowledge of his instrument. Whether hes teaching you new techniques, chords and inversions, different styles of playing, or the basics of music theory, the lessons are presented in a way tangible to the student. He is better than any guitar player I've seen, so he can take you to the next level if you are already good, or he can help you as a beginner like me.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Paul for about two months now and I feel like I have learned so much already! I am very impressed with his knowledge on music theory and his easy demeanor makes me feel comfortable as I scrape through the chords. He also transposes songs that you request, so you can start learning through those songs instead of just chord progressions. While, also, teaching you how to read the music. I am really proud of my progress and it all has to do with his dedication to me, can't wait to see where I go from here with his guidance! I wholeheartedly recommend him if you are looking to start/get back into guitar.

I have been a student of Kim's for the past 4 years. I have had and am still having a wonderful experience. She is a very skilled guitar player and instructor. Her teaching studio is a comfortable and private area, and in addition she has a recording studio separate from her regular teaching studio. The recording studio is where her students get to meet and team up with other musicians and learn the process of playing together and making recordings. This experience at playing as a group with a drummer and other musicians has been invaluable training. Especially if one wishes to go professional. Kim has an extremely sound knowledge of music theory and a way of teaching that varies depending on her students. I would highly recommend Kim as a teacher for all levels of musicians that need additional skill to add to their current knowledge.

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! I take violin lessons at this school, and so far, they certainly have helped me improve on my skills, and have kept me motivated to continue practicing my instrument. It's a much more enriching experience when your lessons are one on one. I had been taking violin at school for 5 years, but taking lessons taught me that I still had a lot to learn. It's much easier to realize where your struggling and thereby improve on it quicker. I have to recommend this school to anyone seeking ways to improve their musical prowess!

"Dr. Rose Chen is knowledgeable in music and passionate about teaching music. Besides teaching me how to read the symbols on the sheet music, she emphasizes on ear training and musicianship. She has helped me to become a better sight-reader and my understanding of music has allowed me to start writing my own music- all thanks to Dr. Chen. She is also capable of teaching skills needed to play different styles of music. My lessons always include classical pieces and some of my favorite songs by Stevie Wonder. I highly recommend Dr. Chen as a piano teacher."

I've had a handful of music teachers throughout my life and Dory is head and shoulders above the rest. He has a knack for explaining the concepts of music theory with great clarity and enthusiasm. In addition to his proficiency at playing and teaching music, Dory is also very well-organized and attentive. His lessons are focused and purposeful. If you're at all thinking of learning piano, guitar, or music in general I cannot recommend Dory enough!

Steve is a wonderful teacher. When I started lessons I had been playing for a while but I needed guidance on where to go from just basic chords and strumming patterns. Steve tailored my lessons to the genres I wanted to study while giving me exercises that would better my study no matter what direction I chose to go. We even started coupling the guitar lessons with banjo lessons! Steve is well versed in so many genres and instruments and on top of that, he is a friendly, patient and fun person who communicates well and is easy to get along with.

My daughter Shavanie has been with at SoundCheck for about two months. First off I must say Dan & Electra are very friendly and down to earth people. My daughter does Vocal & Piano lessons with Electra, she is one of the best music coach my daughter has worked with so far...... I am amazed by her progress. She also does Guitar lessons with Josh, who is also amazing...she is finally enjoying her guitar :) Since my daughter has been with SoundCheck she has shown more excitement towards music vocally and instrumentally. I can't thank them enough! :-) I truly recommend SoundCheck, you will not regret it.

I had already been messing around on the guitar for a while, but decided to finally take the plunge and start taking bass lessons here in LA. Simply put, there is nothing that Roman can't do or teach on the bass guitar. Roman formulated a lesson plan centered around my own experience and goals as a musician, which increased my understanding of music as much as my ability to play. In taking music lessons from Roman, you not only get an incredibly knowledgable and experienced instructor, but you also get a funny, laid-back guy who is willing to jam along and offer insight into any musical piece you put in front of him. Roman is truly the total package, and I can't imagine taking music lessons from anyone else.

I was a voice student at Hollywood Academy of Music for a few years. The instruction I got was worth so much more than what I paid because my teacher went to one of the best contemporary music schools (Musicians Institute) and was a frequent performer. Not only that, but she was fun to be around and naturally a very good teacher. I also took from a few other instructors and the standard was always just as high, even though the instructors had different backgrounds, they were all well-educated and good with people.
