Karen is amazing - she is attentive, informative, and very considerate of the concerns I have as a pet owner. She introduced training tactics to me that will help me establish a respectful relationship with my dog. It's training that is beneficial for both me and my dog. I can't wait to continue the working relationship with her and Abby!

Dee Cee came to our apartment and within half an hour I saw immense improvement in the relationship between the dog and the cat. She gave us excellent advice and doesn't ask for repeat sessions. I really appreciated her forthcomingness in not giving us any promises but the promise that she was giving us the tools to succeed.

John is very good at training my Border Collie to be more calm and socialized with other dogs. My dog also becomes more obedient. John is very patient with my dog when he received him for boarding and training for 10 days.

Roberts background is very impressive, that's why I chose him. Robert also has a unique style of training that I haven't seen before. Most importantly I'm getting the results and my pet isn't stressed, she's happy! If you want to have a loving and bonding relationship with your pet get a trainer. Finding a good trainer isn't easy. Save yourself from frustrating experiences and hirer the very best. You'll be extremely happy you chose Robert, I am!

Really helped with our out of control dog. Taught him (and then us) how to get him under control; sitting, staying etc. We boarded our dog for over two weeks while he was being trained. Dog seemed happy and wanting to work on the things he learned. We would definitely use them again.

If you hire Susan Wolfe--Don't feel guilty leaving your pet at home when you go away for the day or an extended period of time! If our cats and dogs could talk they would tell you--Susan speaks their language! Susan always took great care of our pets (and property) when she lived here on the east coast. She was great with our special needs/older pug. Our cat loves her too! Thanks for everything Susan and good luck!

We are so glad we picked Jenny as our dog pet sitter! She took care of our dog for 4 days while we were traveling. She was very attentive and kind with our boy and was always sending pictures and messages. Which helped us to see how he was doing. One thing that really amazed us is that our dog was trained in portuguese and Jenny learned somethings just so he could understand her better! Our dog was very happy under Jenny's care and that's the most important part for us. We sure recommend her services.

At close to the last minute over the Thanksgiving holidays, Ginny accepted the job to feed and care for my cat for two days at my home in Tustin. She followed up promptly and left me an email that all was going well. She fed my cat,, cleaned the litter box, and spent time in my home with my pet. My cat was very calm and seemed happy when I returned home and I feel 100% satisfied that Ginny did an excellent job. I will use her services another time.

Our dog, Coconut, received puppy training through Laguna Niguel City classes taught by Wendy, about two years ago. Ever since then, we have used Wendy's help for training, dog walking, as well as pet boarding services. There are a few major points to mention about Doggie Do Pet Services / Wendy Brookhyser: 1. She is very reliable, responsible, and caring. 2. Our dog, Coconut, absolutely loves and adores her. 3. Wendy is one of the best trainers we have seen. To our eyes, she is an expert in dog training and dog behavior. In addition to puppy training, Wendy helped us with Canine Good Citizen training, and Coconut passed the test with flying colors one year ago. 4. Last, but not least, when Coconut returns from pet boarding with Wendy, he has played so much that he sleeps for a day or two!!!

I have been using her services since my puppy was 6 months, and he is now 3 1/2 years old. She has been watching my dog for the past three years, and my dog is quite picky on what he likes and doesn't like! What I like the most about her services is that she is VERY flexible, many times I have last minute jobs, and she is ALWAYS readily available to take him in. I also enjoy that she sometimes has other small dogs for him to play with, but not where it is overwhelming like a doggie daycare (my dog likes to be just with one person or dogs similar to his sweet temperament). He always wags his tail when I drop him off, and is always happy to see her daughter (my dog loves kids). When I pick him up, he is always tired and passes right out once I leave to go back home, meaning he had fun and was busy while staying over. She also caters do his diet and bathroom regime. She makes sure that when you leave your dog with her, that your dog is treated the same way as you would treat him/her. I would highly recommend her services especially if your dog is picky and you want that more personal touch in a doggie day care service.

Pawhama Mama is one of the best pet sitters we’ve ever found in LA. Most places treat your pet like a number but Pawhama Mama gives our Maya the specialized care that makes us travel with ease when we are on vacation. She also gives Maya reiki once a month. 5 Stars 🌴❤️🤙🏼

How much does boarding a horse cost?

Finding the right horse boarding location is a big step in a horse owner’s life. This will be the place your horse will live and where you will visit multiple times per week or even daily. The cost of horse boarding will depend on the level of service you desire, the location of the stables, and the luxury level of the property. Here are some examples of average horse boarding costs:

      • Overnight stabling: $30 per horse per night.
      • Partial boarding (owner feeds and mucks): $220 per horse per month, with a three-month commitment.
        • Administration of oral medication: $10 per dose.
        • Bandaging: $20 per event, plus cost of materials.
        • Trailering to vet if owner is unable: $25, plus $25 per hour to wait with horse.
      • Basic full boarding: $325-$350 per month per horse. Includes twice daily hay and daily stall cleaning.
        • Horse training: $20 per session.
        • Pasture turn out: $20 per session.
        • Blanketing: $1 per day/$30 per month.
        • Vet or farrier hold: $20. This means haltering the horse and standing with it as it receives treatment or shoeing.

      What is horse boarding?

Horse boarding is like rental housing for your horse. Horse boarding is helpful for people who don’t have the space or the resources to install and maintain a stable on their property. A horse can be housed in a barn with other horses and receive the care they need. Owners can visit their horse for riding, grooming, training, etc. Horse boarding services may vary based on the company and the price. Some horse boarders may offer short-term boarding of 24 hours to several nights for people passing through an area, while most offer boarding by the month for horses whose owners live in the area. There is partial- and full-service boarding, which indicates how much of the work of feeding the horse and cleaning the stall is the responsibility of the owner rather than the boarding barn. For an added fee, horse boarding can also include grooming services, riding and training, medication administration, and more.

To find the right boarding fit for you and your horse, make a list of your top priorities. These might include immediate access to riding trails, round-the-clock supervision, or a nearby or affiliated veterinarian. Always visit the site to learn exactly where your horse will be kept and whether the barn and grounds are in good condition. Read reviews, and always practice smart hiring. It’s also critical to sign the proper legal documents that protect both you and your horse, such as boarding agreements. Above all, make sure it seems like a place your horse will be comfortable between your visits.

Where can I board my horse?

You can board your horse at any barn or stable that provides horse boarding services. To find horse boarding near you, read reviews of area locations and speak with equestrian friends to find one with a solid reputation. Ideally, the location will be within a reasonable drive from your home or office. This is especially important if you are paying for partial boarding services and are responsible for feeding your horse and cleaning its stall each day. You may choose your boarding barn or stables based on the services they provide. Some offer more extensive amenities — at an added price — that reduce the amount of work you need to do to keep your horse comfortable. Consider whether you want training, blanketing, exercise and other perks in addition to standard offerings like hay and stable mucking. Your stable may have temperament requirements and proof that your horse has the proper vaccinations required by your state. This protects both your horse and the other horses in the stable. Many states require that locations offering horse boarding services have stable licenses that are renewed each year. Always be sure to enter into a clearly written boarding contract that will cover your horse and belongings in case of accident, and remember our tips for smart hiring.
