Areum provided the best learning environment and experience I have ever had. It wasn't until I began working with Areum that I actually engaged in learning outside of school, and was actually excited about it. She has a way of teaching through various methods which makes curriculum easy to remember and fun to do so. She helped me so much on improving my SAT score, as well as in the college application process. My vocabulary and math skills improved greatly within a short amount of time. When it came time to fill out my college applications, Areum helped me plan out which schools were the best fit for me and how we would get there. I definitely did not know anything when it came time to apply, so I am grateful to have had Areum to help me reach my goals. I truly admire the way she connects and builds a bond with her students. She is always there to mentor me and guide me in anything that I have questions about. I've never met anyone who genuinely cares that much about the well-being of her students.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $70 an hour for in-person. We also offer a 10 hours for $650 package. Most importantly, I want to work with the budget of families. You are paying for expert advice but it shouldn't break the bank!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our initial meeting is an information packed session filled with a lot of Q&A. We will go over your transcripts, your extracurricular activities, why you want to go to college, and which college would be the best bet for you. I also answer questions concerning financial aid, early decision vs early action, and how to best approach the application.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a UCI Scholarship Reader so I know what top-notch universities are looking for in their candidates. You'd be surprised that it isn't all about the grades and scores. I also have been a college counselor for five years and got my College Counseling Certificate through UCLA.
