- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Every pet owner should ask their pet sitter canidate for one or two references. Their referenced do not necessarily need to be from past pet sitting jobs if they are just starting out, but they should a reference from someone who has known them for some time. When you give your little one to some to watch you want to know what their character is like. You need to be able to trust your new pet sitter.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Scratch N' Sniff Pet Sitting is ran by me and has one pet sitter...Me. I'm a full-time college student majoring in nursing. I started pet sitting when I was 14 Years old and thought it was just a good way on earning extra cash. I didn't realize how much I would love working with all different kinds of animals while not being in an actual Veterinarians office. I thought that I was going to just pet sit for a couple of family friends for the summer and back to school I went. I never knew that I would still be pet sitting til this day and loving it! When I was 15 1/2 years old I registered for a vet tech intership. This is were I gain experience in working with animals and also interacting with their owners. Once I recieved my Animal Health Care certificate I was hired as a receptionist at the Costa Mesa Animal Hospital when their internship program was over. As life progressed I moved on and then started working at the Dover Shores Pet Care Center as a receptionist which was also the Newport Beach Animal Shelter. I gained an abundance more experience and more of my pet sitting clients there as well. I love what I do and would never change it for anything else. I make sure that I treat your little ones as if they were mine.
