- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Clients will always know all my fees before we start. I will have a design fee to start, and nothing is ordered until we are in agreement on pricing. There will be no surprises or hidden fees because that is how I would want to be treated.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I need to see the space and discuss the client’s needs, expectations, desires, and budget. This is what drives each project. We decide on all factors, and I come up with a design plan. After we are all in agreement on plan, cost and contractor selection, we can start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each January I head off to the furniture market in Las Vegas to see what is new for the season. I see all types of things from color trends, new products, etc. I also participate in continuing education courses. Throughout the year, I also attend many seminars and classes to see what new trends come up and learn about other trades and products available in the market place.
