I am an athlete at heart and I found myself completely unhappy with my body and health about a year ago. After trying to work on my self esteem first, I decided in September it was time to get back into fitness like I had been my whole life. I came on thumbtack and scheduled meetings with five different trainers. I met with JJ first and cancelled the rest before I even had a workout with him. Honestly I hired him only based off of his personality and game plan for for getting me back into shape. He literally is one of the funniest people I have met. However he doesn't mess around when it's time to work. And each workout I find that he can push me to limits I didn't know I had. I have lost 24 pounds so far but have become so much stronger and healthier. We weight lift, do cardio, and he has taught me personal defense. I was skeptical paying money to get fit but I'm investing in my health and it truly makes me happy. (He is going to make fun of me for getting sappy on this but whatever he deserves it)
I had been exercising for about a year now by myself but decided to hire a trainer. I've been working out with Vinny for two months now and my body has changed more in the past two months than in the past year. Vinny has taught me from basics: how to breathe correctly during my exercises, proper posture, how to target and isolate certain muscles.. to kickboxing and self defense. Vinny is the type of trainer that will go the extra mile and help you achieve your goals. I def recommend him.

Lila was right on time (early, actually) and hit it off with my girls right away. She got down to business with them quickly and I could tell that although the girls were being challenged they were having fun. I take a self-defense/kickboxing class with Jorge twice a week. He's an amazing instructor, able to teach practical self-defense and kickboxing concepts while giving me a great workout! Brian was a patient and flexible instructor. As a beginner, it was refreshing to have an instructor that was willing to go slow and explain things more than once. My friend and I had a great time in his classes, and I left feeling like I had learned a ton of new skills (especially self defense!).
Great martial arts instructor. We did a general intro of women's self defense, hapkido, taekwondo. Very patient and good for beginners.
When being taught self defense by him, he went through everything step-by-step and always was had me go through the movement one step at time until I go the hang of it.
We've been taking karate at American Kenpo Karate in both group and private class for two years. As an educator who works with both kids and young adults, I appreciate their care and professionalism. I know my daughter is safe with her instructors. She has thrived under their study and has earned her belts through hard work and well executed katas. In addition Kenpo is the best form of self defense for karate. The classes teach discipline, excellent form and responsibility. I would look here before considering anywhere else. They are a step above the rest!
I completed the course Escape to Gain Safety with Miguel and I feel so good about it! I feel stronger and more confident that I can protect myself. Self defense isn’t just good for ladies, I saw many men in the classes that were strong but needed to know the proper techniques. Thanks Miguel!!!

Wow! An hour goes so fast and I get a good workout plus learning Krav Maga. It is a friendly helpful environment that you are only in competition with yourself. Always encouraged to push yourself to do your very best. Lots of one on one because the instructors walk around the students when doing the drills/exercises and make suggestions and corrections as needed. (In Orange county I was charged $100.00 for 45 minutes for a one on one.) They have a wide range of people from children’s classes to adult classes with ages from teens to 70s. The common thread seems that everyone wants to learn Krav Maga, build self-confidence, get stronger and more fit while having fun. Can’t bet that!

The student will begin to learn these self defense techniques starting with the first class. Successful execution of defending oneself does not depend on the strenght of the practitioner, rather it is the method that is applied. The techniques that are taught are simple, straight to the point and easy to learn. My teaching method is very hands on with a great attention to detail, the student is built up with each class session. I offer quality martial arts self defense training at a reasonable price, more expensive does not always mean something is better.
