Hired her for acting lessons, great to work with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend, looking forward to our future lessons!
Kenshaka gave me acting lessons via video chat which is already a difficult task, but he was a great guide and mentor regardless of those obstacles. He is also very flexible and willing to be available for help outside of the scheduled lesson times. Excellent teacher and I would recommend him to others!
We highly recommend Lois For tutoring. She is well known in Honolulu and has years of experience. She tutored our granddaughter when she needed to take the entrance exams into private schools. Lois has great knowledge of children and skill in getting them to do their work. Her lessons were challenging and fun. Our grandaughter could hardly wait to return to her next session. We wish Lois was here to tutor our grandaughter in her college SATS. Carol Lehman
Joanne is a very intuitive coach. As a beginner adult, I was nervous and unsure of my abilities. Joanne took the time to assess my skill level and created a curriculum and acting exercises tailored to fit me! I've learned it's okay to be nervous, it's okay to let go and have fun. I am actually having fun taking Skype lessons and I am learning how to be authentic and real. Joanne keeps in touch between lessons to send me articles to read that will help me as well as answering questions. I couldn't be happier with my choice to hire Joanne. I'm very grateful.
During the time of operation of Let The Kids Grow Los Angeles, California 2013-2014. I had the privilege of working with and managing Mrs. Tracy Pfau, she was our head Acting instructor. She had the tasks and duties of working with underprivileged children of the community to help them stay off the streets and into the classrooms. She was able to work with children that possessed some knowledge of acting to complete beginners. She was professional and always uplifting to the children and respected them in a professional and caring manner as if they were her own. She not only taught them the basics fundamentals of acting but she showed them the professionalism and seriousness of the business surrounding a acting career. The ages of the children ranged from 4-17. As this was a after school program she would always be ready with a lesson plan and would not mind helping after hours if needed. I have learned that to be a great instructor you need to first have a great heart and a seriousness to the profession, and Mrs. Pfau is the total package as she is a great instructor and a great mentor and even after the program finished she was still willing to work with the children on a personal basis to really help these children accomplish their goals in the acting profession. I would be more than happy to recommend Mrs. Pfau in any future projects as I do not recommend people unless I really believe in them.
I can't even put into words how amazing a teacher Sean is. The best way to explain it is to tell about my recent experience in a student film and the results I see from his coaching. It's easy to say you are learning from someone but a completely different thing to be able to put those skills into practice and see the results. So many of the things I accomplished that day on set would not have been possible without the skills Sean taught me. Before “action” on one scene, I caught myself questioning my character's actions and motives and heard Sean's voice in my head reminding me to not judge the character. This bit of remembered wisdom reminded me to focus on empathizing with and being the character rather than judging her. It helped me to become the character rather than just myself portraying the character. There were multiple shots in this film where I had to cry, something I was extremely nervous about and had never been able to do on camera before. But I did as Sean taught me, and the tears came naturally. Without Sean's coaching, my emotions and the tears would not have felt or looked authentic. Sean's acting lessons have helped me immensely, and I am so thankful for everything I have learned from him. I would recommend Sean as a teacher for anyone who is serious about being an actor.
Bonnie is fantastic! Really understands the male voice. Looking forward to continuing to work with her.
I honestly would not rather have any other coach. David makes me feel comfortable and is VERY proffesional. He gives me hope for my future plans with voice acting.
Actors Youth Academy is a great school to improve or begin to learn Spanish and acting skills (or a combination of the two). The teachers are passionate and insightful, experienced in their fields, and able to provide constructive and insightful feedback. This is a great place to learn, amongst the talented students and the inspiring instructors, and I highly recommend giving them a call right now!!
David Rountree from LA Acting Studios is the best teacher in Los Angeles-- hands down! I am amazed of his knowledge and the experience he shares from his time so far in the Industry. I love learning from him! He is definitely not to be missed if you're serious about Acting or would just like to raise your confidence level. He has a way of connecting to you that is very heartfelt and sincere.
I've worked with J.T. on many projects and I'm always impressed with his talent and dedication to his work. I also learn from his keen sense of aesthetics. He is always great to work with.
I have attended classes by Sam for both dance and workouts. She is energetic, fun, engaging and enthusiastic with lessons. She genuinely enjoys what she is doing and teaching it to others. She works with you to answer any questions and find ways to make work-arounds if needed. I highly recommend her classes.
My daughter learned a lot about acting skills such as improvisation, scene study, monologue and TV/Film/Commercial skills
I teach all levels of acting, working with voice, breathing and acting techniques. I do a scene study for theaters, as well as movies and television. Private, one-on-one coaching is also available.
There are many wonderful teachers out there. I think the biggest difference between what I offer and what others offer is that my focus is on the Actor becoming a better Actor. Rather than simply doing scene work I prefer to focus on the Actor's Instrument, tuning it to be more focused, in touch and sensitive.

Through exercises in on-camera scene study, cold reading, and character development, actors hone the skills necessary to tackle any audition. Brian Cutler's direction and criticism guide and encourage the actor to peel back the layers of inhibition to produce honest, intense, and authentic performances.
I am an energetic, detail-oriented acting coach who has strong theatrical education experience with elementary, middle school, and high school students. I specialize in coaching young actors, but also work with adults. I received my B.F.A. from NYU and have been teaching theatre and coaching actors for over 13 years. I also have an M.FA. in creative writing. My passion for theatre education and coaching actors reaches far beyond what I can communicate "on paper" but I would take pleasure in the opportunity to speak with you about coaching you (or your child) for whatever your particular needs are. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best, Sean R.
I help people with confidence, public speaking, and overall presentation by teaching various methods of acting technique.
Learn acting for the camera, audio techniques, cold reading, and improvisation. I have been in the business for 16 years as an actor, director, producer, casting director, and instructor.
I am an acting coach, going on tape, editing, video production, workshops and classes, and informational services. I've been coaching for years in the south bay. I teach acting classes for ages 8 to 18.
This is a professional class for the actor who wants to take his or her acting to the next level. It is a wholly supportive environment taught by a teacher who is a longtime working actor. Eddie Kehler deeply respects the process an actor goes through to achieve the goals in the work. He is committed to providing a safe space which allows us to go deeper and learn how to truly use our imaginations in the rehearsal process.
