Introduction: ** We currently only have availability for riders with their own horses. ** I love to work with riders of any age, level or discipline who would like to improve their riding through applying the principles of dressage. As riders, our partnership with our horse is a constant work in progress. As your instructor, I will teach you to think independently and be a thoughtful rider, working with your horse, not against it. As a trainer, I bring my love and advanced knowledge of biomechanics to help develop young horses and restart, retrain and refine established horses. My goal for each horse is to improve their balance, relaxation and suppleness and help them move in harmony with their rider. Regardless of your background or discipline, I can help you discover how dressage can improve your riding and bring you a deeper connection with your horse.

I've worked with a number of riding instructors over the years but never one that works so incredibly hard for every student. Emily has great skill for evaluating each horse and each rider and adjusting every lesson to fit that day & that moment in time. She is enthusastic & encouraging. You will leave each lesson with great tools & more knowledge and understanding of your horse and of riding then with most riding instructors. Emily works to create independent riders who can continue their training during practice rides and feel confident to do so. If you don't quite have that confidence yet, she will get you there. Under Emily's watchful eye I have grown so much as a rider and my horse is happier and more fit then ever before.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All new students begin with an evaluation ride if they have previous riding experience. If they do not we use that time to begin learning how to safely handle horses from the ground. We have a progressive training system for horses and riders designed with the utmost respect for our horses and develops confident, balanced riders.
