I finally decided to clean up my back yard, and reached out on Thumbtack for estimates for a Trex deck and wood/cable fence. John came over on a weekend morning to take measurements and promptly got back to me via text with a materials and labor estimate. The labor rate was very fair and it turned out that his material estimate was very accurate. We set a time in January for him to begin, and even though it rained off and on the first week, John was able to make progress on most days. He was great about staying in touch and answered all my questions. As with any construction project, there were curveballs here and there, but he came up with great solutions for all issues. All and all, John did a great job, and I am already saving to have him come back and rebuild my arbor. Only downside to all this is the deck and fence look so great I am going to have to spend my weekends landscaping around the deck to do it justice!
