Introduction: Hello!
My name is Dr. Brandon Schiller! I am a former associate-in professor at UC San Diego in the structural engineering department. I have been tutoring students from kindergarten to post-college for over 15 years because I have a passion for learning and teaching. 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀!
𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗣𝗵.𝗗. 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗨𝗖 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗼, 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.
𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 "𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵" 𝗼𝗿 "𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲". Yes, some people are more gifted in these subjects than others, but I think we can all do well in these fields with proper teaching. In my experience, many students struggle because they are not being taught in a way that is most conducive to their learning. I work to cater my teaching to the individual so that concepts are fundamentally understood, not just memorized for the next test. We are all different, and we all learn differently. My philosophy in this regard respects just that. I utilize my extensive tutoring and teaching experience to develop the best approach for each student to excel.
At 28 years old, I am very fortunate to have had the opportunities I have been able to capitalize on. The benefit of my age comes from how easy it is to connect with students. 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀! 𝗜 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. We all want to do well when it comes to school.
𝗜 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵, 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹/𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔, 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝘂𝘆!
