I contacted Ron with an unusual request for drum lessons, but not those normal, conventional music/drum theories taught in typical drum set lessons. I wanted someone who can think "outside of the box" and explore an idea or two. To my great appreciation, Ron rose to the challenge in true form and is vastly improving my understanding of drumming theory, those very reasons behind why we play the rhythms the way we do. He is also vastly improving my skill level with exercises he specifically gears toward my personal abilities & skill level. If you are looking for an experience that can also be flexible in taking you to new, surprising fun drumming, this is a phone call you will definitely want to make!

I am delighted to work with Ron Haslam. I am working on rudiments and learning to read music and he has an excellent approach using stick control and how to strike the drum properly to reading drum music and incorporating this in every rhythm we study.

I'm a beginner drummer who wants to advance rapidly! Ron has identified my weaknesses and bad habits and pointed out exactly what I need to accomplish at this beginner stage. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Get the best for less ! I have several packages available for drum lessons. The most popular is 6 one hour lessons for $200. Most of the music stores have 4 lessons for $240 per month, or 4 half hour lessons for $160 see the Guitar Center for example.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is custom tailored to fit the students ability as well as their schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an extensive teaching and playing background in all styles of music for over 20 Years. Rock, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and World beat !
