- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Is there company a nationwide provider? Are they on your insurance companies "Approved Vendor" list? Are they IICRC certified to perform water damage restoration / structural drying / mold remediation. Are they EPA RRP Lead Safe Certified? Do they carry General Liability / Workmens Compensation / Pollution Liability. Do they "Third Party" verify their mold remediation projects. A qualified professional restoration vendor should asses the damages with moisture meters and other survey equipment and recommend an appropriate action plan. The science behind water damage restoration is not fully understood by all providers. Sound drying science dictates what type and how much equipment will be required to dry any structure.
