FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of our lessons can be purchased one at a time or in packages. My recommendation is to purchase a package, mainly because it gives the instructor a good idea of how much time they have to help you towards achieving your goals (plus it's cheaper!). Additionally, buying lessons in a package form is a commitment YOU make to learning this most exciting of new skills!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On the first lesson, I take a few minutes to talk with you about what brought you to the studio in the first place. Are we preparing for a specific event? Are you here for exercise? Has learning to dance been something you've thought about for a long time? From there, we talk about what to expect on the first lesson and then we get moving! Most first lessons are 45 minutes long and usually cover 2-3 dances with a couple of patterns per dance. From day 1, we are moving to music and learning to be social while we dance. After the dancing, we will review each dance and then talk about the different options you have to continue your learning.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew how hard I continue to work to make myself a better teacher. I've been teaching for 20 years already (time sure flies!), but I am not content in what I know. I still receive training from world-class instructors, primarily to help me become a more effective communicator to my students.
