Jose did a great job on our pool deck. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to pool regulations. He and his crew completed the job quicker than expected and we couldn't be more happier. We got a few quotes and he gave us a very reasonable price. We decided to go with him because we were impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and fulfilling all our requests.
Steve proved himself to be an excellent choice for me to have some home improvement work taken care. Within 10 minutes of placing my request on Thumb Tac, I had received a response from Steve with an estimate of how much it would cost to do the work site unseen. Within an hour he was onsite looking over the project; we were able to quickly negotiate a fair price to have the work done with Steve including the demolition and haul-away of a weathered wooden shed and the spa pump, heater, and other items stored within it. My primary request was to have a somewhat large, very weathered wood deck demoed and hauled away to a landfill/dump. Steve turned out to be an easy-going, personable, and exceptionally hard worker very knowledgeable in many areas of home improvement, construction and demolition. He carefully and expertly executed the demolition and haul away of the entire wood deck. – A lot of work. Steve worked his a$$ off to demo the deck and haul it away in an efficient, timely, and proper manner. As a result, I asked Steve to also provide a power wash to my house paying special attention to my very weathered front walkway pavers. Throughout the project Steve followed through on every promise and worked especially hard to bring out the best with the power washing of the pavers providing an exceptionally noticeable improvement after removing a lot of baked in dirt, grime, and fungus. There were a couple of times when Steve could not make it back to continue the work at the agreed upon time due to unexpected ‘life’ events, which I understand happens to all of us. However, even given a couple of unexpected hold-ups, he made it to the site every day, kept me in the loop with what was going on, and gave me a discount to compensate for the inconvenience and hold-up in getting to the site due to these interruptions. He went so far as to show up on a Sunday to coat and seal the newly power washed front walkway pavers. All-in-all, it was a great experience working with Steve. He was reliable, a hard worker, very proficient and knowledgeable, and very competitively priced. I look forward to having him back for other home improvements in the near future. Thanks for a great job, Steve! -Bob
We had a disaster staining job that Greg rescued. Our prior stainer had talked a big game but couldn't deliver. Greg & his team worked through our inconvenient schedule and did such a good job with the staining that we also hired him for painting. I have a neighbor who was so impressed that he wants Greg to quote on a whole job...inside & out. I really appreciated the fact that Greg did the finishing touches himself. He didn't just send one of his guys to finish & pick up the final check. We will have more work for him in the future & hope you do as well. Oh yeah....Greg & his team all spoke English so there was no communication barrier or talking behind the homeowner's back in Spanish.
Kevin Ghazarian worked with me on a variety of prominent projects at my home. In all aspects from budgeting, design, planning and organization of the construction schedule, he was a tremendous asset. On each home improvement he displayed exceptional qualities of creative-problem solving, fortitude as a leader and task-master and attention to detail in design and craftsmanship. I am very pleased on how well the projects turned out, which is due largely to his professional contributions. Highlights of projects are described as follows: 1. Interior painting of several rooms and kitchen. The design motif was a traditional Tuscani color scheme. The original and uniquely beautiful architectural elements such as the curved kitchen cabinets, wordolf walls, crown mouldings, bay windows and fire place mantel pieces were individually painted separate colors. This was challenging in its multi color design and tedious attention to painting the details. In two rooms alone there were 15 different colors used, all of which had to be the perfect color and hue. 2. Installation of wood floors. A beautiful distressed antique wood flooring was installed in the kitchen, pantry, bathroom and large family room. This involved subfloor demolition, removal and replacement, and the detailed installation of wood flooring and moulding. The hard, back breaking work required a number of workers managed by Kevin. As a result, the work flow was systematically optimized and driven until the projects completion. Kevin was a relentless task master and has many skills as a talented worker. 3. Electrical rewiring of bathroom and hallway. The old wiring was faulty and insufficient and new wiring was pulled and replaced. All ceiling light fixtures, electrical outlets and switches were chosen and installed. A 3 way switch system was a necessity and was devised quickly and installed correctly to code by Kevin. This all required the knowledge and skill of a trained electrician. 4. Construction of exterior deck. This project involved much post production planning and design. Trek decking materials, sub deck foundations, metal piers, treated lumber of all sizes, and all the special screws and bolts needed to be estimated and purchased for this large construction project. Unlike a simple rectangular shape, this deck was complex in design with multiple angles, levels and steps. Cutting perfect angles and lengths of Trek decking were a necessity in order for this deck to turn out as provocative and beautiful as it did.
Sam is a very hard worker. He stained my very old wood floors and they turned out beautifully. It took him longer than expected, but he did keep working at it until I was satisfied. He also did excellent electrical work!
Received inconsistent recommendations from five contractors on the best way to treat my unfinished interior concrete floor. I went with Antonio on the basis of his depth of knowledge, experience, and friendliness. Antonio was actively involved with his team and transformed the floors from grimy and stained to clean, polished, and spotless. He also did it very quickly. In the days since completion I have received a number of compliments from guests.. Will need to add photos. Thank you Antonio!
Thank you, Dave and Design Plus, for installing new indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. The new deck you built is GORGEOUS and we use it every night for drinks and to watch the sunset. The natural stone pathway that you created from the deck to the pool is elegant. You did everything you said you would, were on time and in budget. And you were right, the resin pebble pathway is lovely to walk on in bare feet. Thanks again!
George and his team did a great job on our new deck and we're very happy. I highly recommend Garcia Designs. Where they lost one star was underestimating materials after an agreed upon change to materials, and a misunderstanding of how one finishing detail was to completed, but nothing major.
I had him come to remove a ceiling fan and install a new ceiling fan and wall switch. Because did such a nice job, I had him remove and install two bath faucets one of which needed more repair than I thought. He also repaired my tub faucet which I knew needed lots of work. If I need anymore repairs, I will definitely call him.
Leonel is such a professional. My old linoleum floor was stained and just needed to be replaced. He put new hard wood floors, new baseboards and gave the room a fresh coat of paint. I barely recognized my laundry room!! He did a great job. I found my new handy man.
Working with Microresorts was a true pleasure. We were extremely lucky to find Elder through an old real estate agent and we couldn’t have been happier. Microresorts built 2 decks, concrete walls, a firepit, a fence with gates, and beautiful planters and also put in 2 irrigation systems, a drainage system, many plants, and a gas line to our firepit and grill. He also installed our hot tub including electrical. He also threw in some extra items that we didn’t expect which we needed to get done at some point. Before we even signed a contract, Elder drew up plans and showed us his fantastic ideas for our outdoor space. He put a lot of work into the plans and it was clear that his vision matched ours. His workers were considerate to our neighbors. Elder met all of our immediate neighbors and game them his contact info. He told our neighbors to call him if there were any issues. When the workers showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday, one of the neighbors complained (even though this was much later than the 8am that the local ordinance allows). Elder had the workers come even later on Saturday to accommodate our neighbor. The work was professionally done and looks amazing. Everyone who sees our space is astonished at the design and finishing work. Although the work took a little longer than the original estimate due to rain, it was completed as quickly as possible. It was well managed and there were no significant delays or problems. Elder dealt with us with respect even though we did change our minds on a couple of details after work started. He didn’t increase the price when we made changes even though we knew it would be a little more expensive for him (and we were willing to pay more). The hardscape is solid and we are not worried about maintenance anytime soon. We wanted a low maintenance house and he gave that to us. Overall, I can definitely say that we are extremely happy with Elder Jerez and Microresorts. We would definitely hire them again if we had any more work to do. Choosing Elder and Microresorts was an excellent decision and we recommend him highly.
Gerald did an amazing job painting our deck around our pool. He was extremely professional and knowledgable. We will definitely use his services again in the future.
I've worked with Kent now on numerous projects. He's installed a new front door for us, hung a new medicine cabinet, replaced a door threshold and a rotted out window sill. He's work is high quality and detailed oriented.
Dave Cash Quality Painting did an EXCELLENT job stripping the old stain and varnish from my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Their price quote was extremely fair and they completed the job as quoted on time. Loved their service, professionalism, cleanliness, honesty and quality. Would definitely use them again!!
We used O'Reilly Painting to paint two homes for us: a 1200sq foot condo in 2006 and a 2800sq ft house plus large deck in 2015. We could not have been happier with either job. Nigel is professional, patient, and helpful (he was great about giving advice on colors, accent walls, etc). He reasonably prices his services and does the job quickly. And most importantly, the walls and deck look great!
We had a great experience with John, starting with how responsive he was and then being here when he said he would be. Not so much the norm with others we have dealt with. We started with a deck, then another deck and ended with bathroom remodels. John always gave detailed and accurate proposals and bills and kept to the costs to what was quoted.
I would highly recommend Ron's Handyman Service. Ron showed up on time, promptly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Everything he said went exactly as expected. I am going to have him build us a deck for us next.
Robin was on time and ready to work. He completed staining our pergola right around 4 hours even in the unbearable July heat. The finished product looked great - would definitely recommend Robin.
Scott Nason is the only Handyman that I will ever use. He painted four rooms. He repaired my fence and low voltage landscape lighting. He fixed a bad case of dry rot in my exterior doors and exterior window frame and trim and fixed a major dry rot situation in my laundry room after installing a new water heater. He removed decades-old oil stains in my carport then refinished the concrete to match the exterior of my home. He put up extra shelving in my storage shed and laundry room. In a bathroom he removed and replaced tiles so the plumber could access the fixture that was being replaced and then put in a new sink and faucet, tiled the countertop in marble, slate and ascents, then put in a new mirror and lighting fixture. He fixed the oven fan. In the summer I plan to have him paint my exterior wood trim. He has a large number of before and after pictures and you should look at them. He is a perfectionist and is not satisfied until the finished look is perfect. I would be fine if the work looked just OK and not perfect. The cost of his repair of the dry rot in my doors and windows was much less than replacing the doors and windows.
I highly recommend Uriel Handyman Services. Uriel was hired to sand and stain my front deck. He did such a good job that we then hired him to rebuild the porch, fix and paint the garage door and install new French doors. Uriel's work is professional and his quotes are affordable.
Excellent customer service and workmanship.
