I highly recommend Juliet Hawk to anyone looking for a reading/writing tutor. She is working with two of my children, one to achieve the highest possible SAT results, and the other to improve reading comprehension and writing skills. Juliet is smart, genuine, and professional. She clearly loves her work and her enthusiasm is contagious.
I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Joyee and his team. We've been working with them for quite a while and they've helped us with math tutoring, test preparation, and now going into our senior year, they're helping us prepare for college applications. More specifically, my son's score on the ACT jumped 6 points after 2 months of working with Joyee and Robert. I can't recommend them enough!
Our tutor, Danielle, has been great for working with my daughter. We needed someone who could tutor in math, but also assist in developing organizational skills.
She is a great amazing teacher . I enjoy her writing lessons a lot. Never regret to take lessons with her. She taught me different writing styles and loads of grammar. The lessons are fun too. Thank you May Chaisakulchai
Good tutor! My child likes the way she works with him
Jenny has tutored my son in math and writing and has increased his confidence and advanced his skills in these areas, and has engaged with him on a level that has kept him interested and his attitude positive. She has helped us tremendously, I highly recommend her!!!
Last year, we hired Kerry as a Math tutor for my step son who was in 6th grade and we were very happy with her services and his improvements. Kerry is a great tutor; she is experienced and patient and I highly recommend her.
Mrs. Konie is fantastic!!! My six year old has ADHD and has struggled in preschool and kindergarten as a result. His reading and writing abilities were well below the level required for a student of his age. For three moths, he worked with Mrs. Konie, twice a week, to improve these critical skills. To my surprise, my son now reads and writes. Most importantly, he enjoys the challenges of both. Thank you, Mrs. Konie.
My son now in 5th grade has been taking language arts reading and comprehension lessons from Mrs Patt. I have seen huge improvement in his reading and writing skills and his grades have improved. He enjoys going for her classes which is a big thing. She is really friendly and understands each kids learning needs and works with them. I highly recommend Mrs Patt.
Vanessa has been tutoring me for about two months, and I have never learned so much in such a short period. She has many tips and tricks to help me remember all of the rules of the Spanish language. She is a very kind and energetic person who is always willing to change her schedule to fit your own. I would strongly recommend Vanessa to anybody who needs help!
At the beginning of this year, our daughter was behind in both reading and math entering the 2nd grade. Then, when we signed up for tutoring with Mr. Klaif. He came highly recommended by a friend. After only a few weeks of tutoring, we saw measurable improvement. After investing more time, we are so happy to say that our daughter has improved so much that she is now performing a grade level above her actual grade! The knowledge and confidence in her abilities that she has gained through the program is amazing. I attribute her academic accomplishments largely to her participation in the Fundamentals program! I would highly recommend Mr. Klaif to any family that has a child struggling in any subject.
After already 5 months of tutoring, my daughter is already doing so much better in Reading & Writing. I never knew that tutoring could make such a big difference. Kami is very patient and flexible. She always answers our questions and text messages. Our previous tutor we found on thumbtack did not connect well to our daughter.
Jen is one of a kind! I have had over four different tutors work with my kids and not one of them could match up to the positivity, intellect, and absolute care Jen brings to my kids. She has always come prepared with a lesson already in mind and knows what's due for my kids homework and what math concepts she needs to review for them to fully understand. She even works with them on their writing and reading comprehension and continues to strive to be the best role model that I could have asked for. I would 100% recommend Jen to anyone looking for a strong tutor and she is versatile in many subjects and knows exactly how to adhere to your kids needs.
Sandra was a wonderful tutor. She was always on time and prepared for that days lesson. I would recommend her for any type of English, reading, or SAT practice you need!
I was asked to remain at a local elementary school even after the teacher I was subbing for returned. With district H R approval, I was asked to take over that class while the teacher on extended leave was asked to do assessment testing for multiple grades upon her return..This was a huge compliment to me and my abilities to create "a sense of community" for the students who had multiple subs and loss of continuity and progress. It has always been my pleasure to see a student become confident, even excited and inspired as they acquire new skills. I have enjoyed school so much that I often will enroll in courses for additional aptitude in subject matter, even after studying for a masters degree. Seeing happy faces after my tutoring is invaluable to me. Our futures depend upon being skilled for the workplace - for life! Confidence is key to success. Being a part of the network of educators has been one of my best decisions in life. I see instant results and immediate gratification when working with adults who are already in the workplace advancing forward!
It was a wonderful and awesome experience. Thank you very much for allowing me to meet Lisa Lee, more a friend that a teacher now.
My daughter needed help with both reading and writing. A friend recommended her and we are so happy they did. Her calm and supportive demeanor made all the difference for my daughter. Jane is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and clearly enjoys teaching. She really built my daughter's confidence in reading and writing. I recommend her to all my friends.
I genuinely care about my students and am passionate about helping them succeed. I love seeing students grow and gain knowledge and confidence.
In todays ever-changing educational landscape, it is vital that a teacher possess a multitude of pedagogical skills as well as the ability to engage learners with a great diversity of cultural backgrounds. My experience and background can provide that. I have been teaching English and writing for eleven years and I have a MA in English/Composition. I have the ability to build an excellent rapport with people; thus, building the trust I need to help them succeed. I thrive when I teach one on one. I engage students with a fair, firm, and friendly attitude that demonstrates respect for students and their educational goals and always strive to make the learning applicable to students lives.
My goal in tutoring is not to show off how much I know, but to use what I know to help learners get better at the subject they are asking for help on. I really seek excellence in my work, whatever it is, whether it is raking up leaves in the yard, or writing an academic paper. What is unique about tutoring is that excellence is measured by how well students are helped. I love the subjects I tutor, and the opportunity to work with motivated students. This is the big difference between teaching and tutoring. The motivation of learners who ask for tutoring is far superior to students in a class. This makes tutoring far more fulfilling.
As a certified and professional teacher/tutor, I have specialized in language arts and writing. I am able to help with most types of writing. Some of the types of writing that I have done has included: letters of appeal (employment, etcetera), complaint letters, technical writing, blogs, and creative writing, I also help students, of all ages, to write better papers. I charge an hourly rate, and generally have two-hour minimum,
