"My daughter plays piano and recently joined Mrs. B's class. Mrs. B. helps her with her middle school band music, and goes out of her way to engage her in music technique, classical piano and popular music that she likes. "

"I took his lessons three times for the audition for the applied music program;then I passed it! He was teaching me not just music piece, but also some technical exercise for the piano. It is very helpful. Also, although my first language is not English, he explained to me everything clearly. He is a very nice teacher, so I highly recommend you to take his lesson as soon as possible. "

"For more than two years I have taken piano lessons from Esther Sanborn and I can say that I am quite pleased with my growth and progress. Let me preface this by saying that I am an older adult and have over the years developed bad habits in my technique. Ms Sanborn helped me correct these with her unending patience and insight. I love her insistence on good technique, ensuring that her students become better players. She is very respectful of my personal taste in the classical music that I choose to play, and has always been very encouraging whenever I express doubt about my abilities. Esther Sanborn is a true professional who knows music, and her love of the piano is palpable. It makes each lesson a joy."

"Mrs. Puhl has taught music theory and piano to my two boys for 7 years. She is kind, patient, and knows the developmental stages kids go through and therefore works well with kids & teens! She lives music, in a wonderful way, and she is extremely knowledgeable about music. She is always "in the know" of the next "music opportunity", i.e. Recitals, Certificate of Merit, Piano Guild, upcoming concerts, etc, and so will ask students if they are up for it and if so she will prepare them well. Great teacher!! Still teaching my boys/teens : )"

"My older son started lessons with Kevin about 1.5 years ago when he was 6. We had tried group lessons at pianoforte prior, but they did not keep his attention at all. Time and again, different friends would tell us stories about how their kids dreaded or quit playing piano because they didn't enjoy it. Our goal was to find a class that could build upon his joy of music, not to discourage it! So it was extremely refreshing to find Kevin, who truly has a gift for teaching piano in a way that makes it as positive and enjoyable for kids as possible. He's extremely patient as well as encouraging, a great combination when it comes to teaching young children anything that can be challenging at times. 6 months ago, we enrolled our 4 year old son into Miss. Clare's group lesson and it's been an equally wonderful experience. He was so delighted with the music he was learning that he would draw notes everywhere and would run downstairs to our piano in the morning and play the new music he had learned. Kevin and Clare are both incredibly professional and musically talented individuals, but possibly more importantly, their passion for teaching really shines when they are with their students. It's such a joy witnessing my boys learning the art of music in a truly warm, personal and caring environment. I am looking forward to watching my boys' love of music continue to grow with time and to establish a strong musical foundation to help them in their future. I would highly recommend FreshStart Piano Studio without reservation."
