Introduction: Hello! My name's Sara and I am the owner of Sara Elizabeth Photography. I have my BFA in photography from the New Hampshire Institute of Art, my MFA from New England College and I'm a MS/HS Art & Photo teacher. I shoot with Canon gear and various lenses, including L lenses. I am a natural light photographer and love shooting around the golden hour.

I am so glad I hired Sara Elizabeth Photography for my special event. She was easy to contact and very responsive. She had tons of great ideas and asked me for input before the event. My fiancée and I were traveling to the Finger Lakes and I was in search of a photographer to take some engagement pictures for us. I looked some on Facebook and emailed a few people and then came across the thumbtack website. At first I was hesitant if I was going to get legit photographers quoting me but I was so pleasantly surprised when Sara first reached out to me. I immediately knew she was who I wanted to work with. She was so so helpful from the beginning, she was so responsive to any messages I sent and asked so many questions on what we were exactly looking for and where we wanted to take the pictures. Since we were traveling from out of state we were not as familiar with the area but she had our entire session planned to the minute and had even called places ahead of time to make sure we could take photos on their property. Our session with Sara could not have gone more smooth with her being so easy going and her directing us exactly how to pose and where to stand. I would recommend Sara a thousand times over!!! I am sad she is in a different area than us or I would for sure use her again!! We are just now receiving our pictures from her after only two weeks and I could not be more happy with how they turned out. You cannot go wrong with Sara Elizabeth Photography in my opinion!

Sara was very great at what she does and fun to shoot with. She already had ideas that I hadn’t thought of and listened to the things I wanted too, which came out to a well rounded photo shoot for my college grad photos. I hope I get to work with her in the future.

I hired Sara based on her pricing for our needs. She has amazing pictures on her website/social media and took a chance with her to capture our wedding. I couldn't be happier with her service! She came well prepared for whatever obstacles Mother Nature had in store for the evening. She gets very creative with her shots and lets you view pictures as she takes them! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BFA in Photography and I have been photographing since I graduated high school in 2008. Amateur in my younger days, 2004-2008 and professionally since then!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, but didn't like science. I wanted to go into Musical Theatre, but never saw myself on Broadway. I wanted to be a Fashion Merchandiser, but wasn't very stylist. I wanted to be a Chef, but didn't want to make that my profession. I've had a camera in my hand since I was little. In 9th grade, my professor said I should give photography up. I took a year, took a million photos, and signed up for Advanced Photography in the 10th grade. On my 1st assignment, my professor thought I stole the photo from someone else. Let's just say I don't give up on a challenge!
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I do for clients is portraiture and weddings.
