I've been taking guitar and singing lessons with David for a few months, and I've got to say I've had a really great time learning from him! David is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable teacher who clearly cares about his students and their goals, and better still has played and performed with the artists that I like best. It took me a while to find a teacher who was willing to teach me the music I wanted to play instead of starting with their core competence, so it was really refreshing that within a month or two with plenty of practice I was able to learn one of my favorite songs (Three Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot, if you're curious), and a little longer to start singing it, which I was really stoked about. He has been great about breaking things down when the piece we're working on is too challenging. David has also pushed me to pursue my goal of creating music, helping along the way to create melodies and lyrics. I have to say, it takes a great teacher to get me to sing and to share lyrics with them (do you know how embarrassing that can be?). I could go on, but suffice it to say, David is a great teacher, and I'm really glad I started taking lessons with him.
I found Brett on Yelp to get some electric guitar lessons after spending years plateauing on chords for acoustic guitar, and after chatting with him a bit on the phone, decided to give him a shot. I have found Brett to be a true music lover and efficient guitar teacher, who tries to find ways to distill his 20 years of guitar playing down to targeted exercises and practice areas. It's clear that he's done his personal work to become good at his instrument. I've only been taking lessons every other week for two months, so I hope the trend of improvement keeps up!
Sedat is a very patient teacher. He is enjoyable to work with. He is great at teaching no matter how much experience you have. He has great teaching skills and is incredibly talented. I have only taken 3 bass lessons and I have learned so much and can't wait to learn more. I highly recommend Sedat for anyone who wants to learn guitar.
I purchased bass guitar lessons for my Dad with Dylan. Dylan was very thoughtful and responsive. My Dad has had 3 lessons so far and loves it. He had been learning on his own and says things make sense now and he also appreciates the music theory that Dylan incorporates into the lessons. He and I recommend Dylan.
Rick is a great guitar teacher at any level. He can teach everything from theory to practical playing and make it fun. I highly recommend him if you want to learn the correct way of playing.
My favorite night of the week is what I call "guitar night," and it is my favorite because Ahmad is the best teacher I've had in just about anything (sorry, erstwhile college professors). The bass guitar can be intimidating, especially if you've put it off until your 30s like this gal. Ahmad makes the whole thing cake.. . I was playing a song by my second lesson. When I am occasionally downtrodden by what I feel like is the futility of a guitar in my grubby, fat hands, Ahmad, like a sensei, helps build me back up, developing my skill and pointing out what is, in fact, a burgeoning talent. It takes time. It takes practice. And I feel lucky to have chosen Ahmad as my instructor for his easy nature, graciousness, and what you can tell is a true love for the guitar that is infectious. Put it this way: I feel like there isn't anybody he can't teach. Even my significant other has remarked upon the tremendous progress I have made and the increasing confidence in my playing. It's a pleasure to be his student. I might even say an honor.
I'm a beginner to guitar, having played a little piano and drums before. Been working with Chris for a few weeks now and it has been a blast. He's a talented musician who is connected to the music scene. I wanted a guitar teacher who was connected to the local music scene, and so I've really enjoyed working with Chris and even going to see his band perform. I also love how Chris walks through songs and is able to write out the tabs and chords on the fly, and then on top of that show me multiple ways of playing the same song. Highly recommend.
Jerry was very charismatic and knowledgeable about bass guitar. I've played guitar for a few years and recently picked up a used bass, and I took several lessons with Jerry to explore the fundamentals of bass playing. He quickly pointed out some problems in the way I played coming from guitar and pushed me to improve so I could play better and help protect myself from injuries. He also worked with me to improve the feel of my bass playing, that hard-to-describe quality that clearly separates a good player from a weak one. I'm glad I found Jerry and he got me on the right path!
I have been taking guitar lessons at the studio since it opened. The facility is amazing and all instructors I have met are friendly, professional musicians. I love taking lessons here because they are tailored to fit my style and goals. I would and do recommend the studio to students of any age/ skill level.
Mirco is a fantastic teacher and has the patience of a saint! Not only he's a very talented musician, but his ability to clearly explain, guide and generate passion for learning bass guitar is exceptional.
Ralph is a knowledgeable and patient guitar teacher. He's been willing to go the extra mile and find ways to explain music and musicianship that make sense to me.
You can tell that Marc dedicates his life to his craft. He was knowledgeable, professional and had great intro. stories to each of his sets. Recommended!
I started taking guitar lessons from D.D. a couple of months ago and have learned so much from him in the short period of time. He's a great teacher, with a lot of patience. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who's interested in taking up the guitar.

Being a great musician doesn't necessarily equate to being a great music teacher. Teaching requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to understanding how each student learns. I strive to "break through" with each student in a way that opens up musical creativity and the thrill of learning music. I love when students have breakthroughs. Learning an instrument is hard work. It can be frustrating, and it requires discipline. Music theory can be particularly daunting, and downright mystifying. I love when a student grasps a new level of musical understanding with the help of my teaching. There is pure joy when a student breaks through to a new level.
