Mary is such a find. First she found out what areas interest me and introduced me to some things she guessed I would like to explore. She is soft spoken and always prepared. Her demonstrations are easy to follow. I get so into the process with Mary. If I suggest something I want to try, Mary is down for that too. She has experience in so many areas : drawing and shading , painting in acrylics/oils, using pastels to learn color and blending and combining fabrics or other materials to create texture in my art.

Yassaman is the best teacher ever! My daughter had a painting classes for 2 years, and she made a masterpiece just from first lesson and every time after. If we can we would continue our lessons for sure, but we had to move to another country. Yassaman very expirensed and talented artist with many art skills. She is also very friendly and great with kids. Wish her just the best!

Eliseo Art Silva was my Graduate Teaching Intern for my Painting One class at the Maryland Institute College of Art while he was in our MFA Program. He really was the co-teacher of the class. He took to the job with great seriousness, energy, and insight. Eliseo's ability as an artist and as a teacher able to express complicated ideas in simple, direct ways to students were extremely impressive. His thoughtfulness, knowledge and commitment to his art and to his teaching were tremendous assets. I know that since graduation he has remained remarkably productive painting public murals all around the country. I recommend him with great enthusiasm and without reservation. Philip Koch, Professor of Drawing and Painting, Maryland Institute College of Art.

I had the grandest of time. Traveling from Vegas and arriving to a complete art affair, with a wonderful instructor was on hit. Everything was at my finger tips. The vibe was groovy, we had fine food and great music. I love my painting and the experience was relaxing and fun! I would love to have an art affair in Las Vegas for my family and friends. I'm waiting for your next invite.

Really great archery instructor and very nice. He took his time to make sure I got down the proper way of holding and shooting. He made it a fun experience and is also a great resource if you want to continue on with archery.

I hate drawing but wanted to get some basic technics down to further my painting. I went into the experience already annoyed that I needed to draw but Dean put my mind at ease and before I knew it I was even having fun. I’m more comfortable with value and foreshortening and have even put aside some time in my day to practice more. Dean is good, friendly motivation for anyone who says those words, “I can’t draw.”

I have been taking painting lessons with Alfredo for the last 3 months, and we have finished almost 10 paintings together. Every week, I look forward to Alfredo's teachings, and detailed approach to color and texture. I put my paintings up in my house, and no one can believe that I did these! I can't believe it myself. Alfredo was committed, persistent and very patient in working with me. He is super professional, punctual and just overall a positive person. My technique and skills have improved tremendously. Who knows maybe I will open up an exhibition soon... Thank you Alfredo! you are appreciated.

We attended the Studo's monthly Art Party as a date night and had SUCH a good time- the atmosphere was really fun and relaxed. I enjoyed it SO much I am now attending weekly painting lessons with Moises. I have no natural artistic talent but Moises is so nurturing and patient that I actually feel like I'm learning and getting a little better every week.

About

I offer private art lessons, mainly oil painting, in the west Los Angeles area. I prefer to work with kids, as I have done so in the past. Lessons can be one on one or in a group of 2 or 3 but not more. Lessons consist of 1.5-hour sessions, as one hour is not enough. One-on-one lessons cost $50 if the client travels to me and $60 if I travel to the client. Group lessons are at $40 per client, and I travel to the client. You can learn more about me and my background on my website.
