My son started learning trumpet a year ago and James has been teaching him since then. He was willing to accept a beginner and very patient from the start. He teaches solid basics that help my son a great deal at his school band. And his lesson has never been boring! He has tons of musical anecdotes and love for music to share. Very punctual and always provide perfect settings to play. Can't wish more.

Not many trumpet teachers out there do what I do nor understand how a trumpet embouchure works. Buzzing mouthpieces and just playing a few songs are not condusive to developing a strong healthy embouchure. Playing music/songs only will only get you so far and it is random. My routines are customized to the students' needs and builds them up strengthwise taking them from level to level, all done on the horn. Thus making playing the music easier and more enjoyable elliminating much of the strain that comes from lack of endurance.
