I have worked as a sideman with the members of Outside Pedestrian and they backed me for my faculty recital at College of the Desert in March 2015. Their talent and versatility helped make the performance the success that it was. The group is fluid in several styles of jazz, including Latin, swing, be-bop and ballads. The guys were professional and enjoyable to work with and the audience response was very positive. I hope to work with them again in the future.

David did a music workshop at my studio last year, which I attended. It was a very educational and fun workshop! It was great to hear the original & cover tunes that his band, Outside Pedestrians, performed. They also brought in theory & use of different styles into their performances. Bravo!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We have performed at public festivals, jazz clubs, colleges and as a backing trio for faculty recitals.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It may be tempting to hire a DJ or a band that charges a low fee because of budget constraints; you may think your guests don't notice the caliber of the music, particularly if it's just in the background. However, like the quality of the silverware, decorations and other things that might not seem immediately obvious, the quality of the music subtly but unmistakably impacts the overall impression of the event. It is worth budgeting extra to hire the band that you REALLY want.
