Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Choosing an officiant with experience is important to ensure you have a beautiful, stress-free day. I have been a wedding officiant for 13 years and have performed thousands of weddings. I am very professional, dependable and experienced working with brides & grooms, and other wedding vendors and coordinators. My website has many testimonials from previous brides and grooms about my level of service.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. It's your day and I want to do it your way! I plan a unique
wedding ceremony for each couple. I like to meet with
couples or at least talk on the phone a few times to find out
more about you and the type of ceremony you are dreaming of.
Here are some ideas you might like to include, and there's no
extra cost for any part of the ceremony!
Rose Ceremony for Mothers,
Unity Cord & Veil / Exchange of Gold Coins,
9 Sips of Sake,
Family Medallion with Children,
A Wine Ceremony.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love meeting all the interesting people that I come across every weekend, and enjoy knowing that I am sending the couple on to a wonderful and happy life together.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. One of the most common questions is, "How much do you charge?"
I realize staying on a budget is very important to many brides and grooms. That's why I offer a completely customized ceremony for one affordable price. Many other officiants charge extra for face-to-face meetings, personalized options in the ceremony, last-minute changes to the ceremony, etc. I don't charge any extra fees. Sometimes I am able to negotiate my price depending on the date and time of the ceremony.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. There are so many lovely stories, especially when weddings include small children, pets (like a dog walking down the aisle with the wedding rings tied to its collar) and special moments with family members. One very special time was when the bride's father surprised her with a beautiful vocal solo of a love song. Tears of joy flowed!
Another fun type of ceremony I do quite often are surprise weddings. Yes, really! The guests think they are coming to a party but the bride and groom have a surprise...their wedding!
I've done a vow renewal on a baseball field, a wedding ceremony at midnight on Halloween at a costume party, a wedding at a dude ranch and the bride arrived on a stage coach, and many beach weddings with unforgettable sunsets timed perfectly when the bride and groom kiss.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. I think my greatest strength is my calm nature making people feel at ease during a typically stressful time planning a wedding. At the ceremony I have a relaxing yet strong presence. I am able to put the wedding party at ease and ensure everyone feels they have had a wonderful, special experience.
