- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally follow this pricing structure: For editing $25.00 an hour For writing $50.00 an hour For tutoring young people $20. an hour with a minimum of $100 For some projects, usually business matters, I will sometimes offer a bid for the complete project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To keep my skills strong and up to date I continue to read a lot of the classic literature. My primary source for developing as a writer is to work with other people who are literate and skillful.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I think have worked as a writer-editor-coach most of my life. When I started first grade in a public school I had already read all the books through 2nd grade. The teacher assigned me to work with a student who was having trouble reading Dick and Jane. From then on I always helped others read, write and communicate. I don't think I decided to do this. It was my destiny.
