Ms. Miller was my teacher for U.S. American History when I took the course in summer school (to lighten my load for the following semester) in the summer before my junior year of high school. Her enthusiastic personality and teaching style made the class incredibly enjoyable. Her daily quotes and journal activities were a brilliant way to start a summer day. I enjoyed her ability to connect the historical content and material to the present day. Watching a historical genre movie like Ragtime or Cold Mountain was more than just watching a film, it was a way for the students to see a representation of history in another view, followed by incredible discussions after. Ms. Miller's critique, compelling input, and thoughts were positive and educationally enriching. Our discussions were not just about films, but about American history, past and present, as well as connections and links to present day events. I still remember several occasions where we had to cut off a class open discussion due to time constraints! :) Mind you, I will be a junior in college in the fall, and I still remember those summer sessions. They were a unique blend of educational, as well as fun! Ms. Miller is an incredible teacher, and I would highly recommend her tutoring services to anyone (parent or student) who is looking for an amazing and well versed teacher.

I was a student of Ms. Miller's sophomore World History class, and I wasn't sad to hear that I would be a returning student of hers my junior year by having her as my teacher for U.S. History. That same year I volunteered as her teachers assistant because I found not only her outgoing personality welcoming, but her teaching styles very engaging for her students. Even though I only spent two years of my high school experience as a student of Ms. Miller's, I really gained alot about the history and political views of what our nation has faced overtime. Thanks to her unique and fun ways of learning, such as group debates, creating board games out of historical topics, and beneficial group discussions, my class and I had fun while learning about a concept that is no longer foreign to us. Ms. Miller is an awesome teacher and I strongly recommend her for the position as a tutor. -Jennifer

I never liked history until I had Ms.Miller in high school. I looked forward to her class and style of teaching everyday. Her interactive and hands on approach to teaching truly made class enjoyable. I found myself creatively learning and remembering different aspects of history whenever I stepped into her classroom. Not only is she a great teacher but also is always positive and willing to go the extra effort.
