Michael has been a very patient, great teacher so far! I get easily frustrated with myself but he goes by the pace I need to really 'get it.'

It has been a pleasure working with Dave. He tends to talk a lot, but it in no way gets in the way of his teaching. Compared to other teachers his price is excellent and he knows a lot about bass. He is very friendly and easy to get along with. Dave is really patient and understanding when problems arise. He understands if, for any reason, you would cancel a lesson. Overall, he is a great teacher and I have progressed in my playing immensely because of him.

Eclectic String Guitar is like no other! We design individualized lesson plans for each and every student tailored to the learning style of every student. Also, all of our lessons are private one-to-one, that way students get the attention and focus that they need with the enjoyment of parents/family participation! We take great pride in our attention to the needs of the student. With this comes phenomenal growth and not just in music. Another added bonus is observing students who go from not knowing anything about music to seeing them grow into confident musicians!

About

I have years of experience plus years of gigging and an academic background (USC and GIT with honors). I have worked on many major festivals including a backing Grammy winner Diane Schurr. I play multiple instruments so that I can address issues of ensemble playing (playing in a band setting). I don't have a single approach to teaching. I find what works for each student and teach them according to their goals and learning style. I am extremely patient. I offer home based studio instruction in order to pass on a discount to my students. I offer a computer equiped studio that includes recording software as well as programs like Band in a Box and the Amazing Slowdowner. I also offer ensemble classes in a studio equiped with full live band equipment. The best part of my job is watching people get to the next level and surpass their original goals.

About

I am a multi-instrumentalist, which gives me a different perspective with regards to how each instrument functions in the context of a song or a band. I also customize every lesson to fit the needs of each student. I feel that this creates a learning environment that inspires a disciplined practice routine. In addition to my love for music, I enjoy the opportunity to share ideas and concepts that pertain to music, but can be applied to every facet of life.

About

I'm an expert educator as well as being a veteran pro musician, so it's easy for me to discover exactly what someone needs to do and program the lessons in the most fun manner possible. Showing people how to create music according to their own interests because it creates happiness. Whether professionally or as a hobby, playing music is, well... it's cool. I feel that aesthetics, and art in any form, enhance living, regardless of what style of music one plays. What I mainly like the most, is helping people reach their goals. That about sums it up.

About

Hi. This is really about you! My philosophy is founded in that it must be fun to learn. The first thing I ask any potential student is what kind of music he/she is into, be that Justin Bieber or Metallica, and that will be the foundation for the lessons. I am also big on practical use and understanding, so I make sure you know why you're learning something and that you truly understand what you're learning. I am a professional guitar player/teacher. I'm originally from Sweden, but I have called LA my home since 2006. I have about 14 years of experience teaching music; I also wrote and taught the advanced rock curriculum at the Los Angeles College for Music (formerly LA Music Academy). Yes, I will teach you how to read music (if that is what you want)! I teach beginner to pro in guitar and beginner to intermediate in piano and bass, from 7 years old and up. I teach all styles and genres.

About

I have been studying music and playing guitar and bass for 24 years. I have worked with Grammy-award-winning songwriters for Sony as an engineer, and wrote, recorded and released more than 6 albums. I am currently working with a new, groundbreaking teaching method developed by musical scientist, Alex Sioris, called Echometry. Echometry focuses on understanding the base twelve system that is inherent to music naturally. Forget about all those confusing sharps, flats and key signature and get a real understanding of the way music actually relates to itself. I am offering guitar, bass, songwriting and recording lessons. All lessons are customized to meet your needs. Group lessons are also available at highly discounted rates. Get the whole family involved and receive deep discounts. Lessons are offered via Skype worldwide to English-speaking students.

I'm 35 - been playing for years in rock/pop/funk styles. Looking to transition into jazz. I listen to a lot & have studied the music for a while, but something escapes me. I'm so groove oriented that I have a hard time with the straight ahead lines & constant chord changes. Looking for some tips to get over the hump and into a comfortable place w/ jazz.
