Introduction: Are you wanting to learn how to play the drums? Not sure where to start but want a solid foundation? Overwhelmed by the amount of Youtube videos out there? Hi, my name is Ben Pham and I am a Professional Drummer here in Los Angeles. In my 14 years of performing and teaching, I have toured the U.S. with The Nightowls, toured Europe with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox on Deck and have performed with Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull with the Dallas Cowboys Drumline. Here at my Lesson Studio you will learn the skills to be a confident and capable drummer. You will be able to play grooves to a multitude of different songs and styles. We’ll cover modern songs like Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”, “Hotel California” by the Eagles, “Purple Rain” by Prince, etc as well as other styles like Jazz, Latin/Afro-Cuban and more. We’ll develop your fills vocabulary and your rudiments and technique so you can perform drum solos confidently and comfortably. My schedule is flexible so you’re welcome to take as many lessons as you need each month; whether it’s every week, every other week, once a month, etc. I also have a Group Drum Class that meets every week on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM. This class is a great way to meet other drummers and practice drums in a group setting. It’s a fun and relaxed atmosphere that will also improve your drumming!
