Introduction: Everything is tailored specifically to each individual. We all learn differently and things always adapt in real time. I teach in a manner that allots you the knowledge to understand what you are playing while always keeping it hands on. As a Composer, this approach is very important in order to associate a response to the sounds we hear. Jokes are prevalent and we always have fun, after all, we're playing music! I love the creativity and emotion in music. Teaching it and playing it with another student is a wonderful connection.

What I like best about Lewis is his love for teaching music, patience and sense of humor that he introduces to his teaching. I’m usually pretty tired after a day of work and Lewis somehow puts up with my lack of enthusiasm and pushes me not only to play some tunes but to really understand music while leaving a smile on my face. Different than my previous teacher, Lewis is a composer. His level of understanding of music is above other teachers that just played in rock bands. I’m a very clean person, I left my previous teacher because his messy home and lack of cleanliness. Lewis place is super clean, easy to park and it’s a healthy environment to learn. I couldn’t recommend Lewis enough and I’m extremely happy with the decision to have him as my guitar teacher. Ludiel Santana

Lewis is a fantastic teacher! I can only speak to how he teaches a complete beginner but he makes guitar very approachable and his style makes it feel like progress comes quickly. His teaching tools and pieces are fun and don’t feel like going through a beginner handbook of basic cords and songs. He is great at tailoring his teaching style to your personal interests and musical goals.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on time. An hour sure goes by quickly however, so I recommend hour long lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is to jump right in. I have a lot of fun teaching and playing music with other people. We’ll talk and learn about each other and also begin playing on day 1!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching and performing with multiple groups since high school. I then attended Berklee College of Music with scholarship for Guitar performance. Near the end of my collegiate tenure I began to study composition and now I am influenced by both, giving me a hybrid style of teaching.
