I've always wanted to learn guitar and have had one lying around for awhile. I've been on youtube to try to learn some basics, but it was great to finally get some real feedback and pointers. My teacher was very patient and helped me get some basic rhythms down. Now I've got some specific stuff to work on til my next lesson. The live 1-on-1 lessons with awesome TakeLessons teachers are a must if you are serious about learning properly!

I had a great beginner piano lesson with my teacher. I knew a couple of songs already from watching others play but I wanted to dive a little deeper into how chords were structured and how to more easily figure out new songs. We covered major scales, arpeggios, minor chords, and inversions. He was very helpful and gave me some great exercises to help me remember how it all fits together. Thanks guys, highly recommended!

Our daughter Norah who's 5 1/2 years old have had 8 months of Suzuki lessons and she hated it. Every time we practiced, it was frustrating and difficult processed for the both of us. Now, we have found Leah, we absolutely love her. Norah enjoys the lessons (4 lessons already) and have asked me to practice with her. This is amazing!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Lesson prices vary according to lesson duration and location. For example, a thirty minute lesson in your teacher's studio would cost less than a sixty minute lesson in your home. This difference accounts for the increase in time as well as covering your teacher's commuting costs.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Before you sign up for lessons, think about what your goals are. Knowing what you want to accomplish will help you pick the teacher whose knowledge and experience are the right fit for you.
