We live in France and searched relevant websites for someone to look after an older dog in our home. This is where we discovered the lovely India Leigh. Although we had FaceTimed each other a couple of times before the asssignment was due to commence we were still aprehensive. However after a couple of hours all together on the first day she had overcome any doubts we may have had and our minds were at complete ease. India is a warm, caring, concientious person in whom one can have total confidence. A couple of problems occured while she was here. These she resolved satisfactorily without troubling us. The dog was well cared for as was our house. She had use of a car and again there were no problems. There is little more to add other than she is not only a lovely person but one in whom I have total confidence.

India is a lovely lady, genuine, caring, she has an open and friendly disposition. She loves all animals and even humans, which is amazing. India is one of the nicest, friendliest, kindest person I have ever met. I really have no hesitation in recommending Inda for any house sit. You will not be disappointed.

India housesat for us for 6 days. While we obviously needed someone we could trust with our home, our main concern was finding someone who would give special care to our sweet but skittish rescue dog, Pippa. Well, Pippa adored India immediately upon meeting her, as did I. India took the time to go through our instructions carefully and she understood and respected our anxiety around keeping Pippa away from poisonous mushrooms in the yard. She took great care with our home, which she left spotless. She cleaned out the fridge which was a mess and still full of weird leftovers from the holidays. She even washed the sheets and remade the bed she used! Pippa and I would have India back in a heartbeat and we would heartily recommend her to give TLC to your pets and home.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to Skype with a potential customer so that we can 'meet' face to face and have chance to evaluate as to whether the fit is right for us both. It is more personable than phone or email.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Life experience.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love of travel (together with a preference of a home environment), cooking and of course animals and writing a blog drew me to house & pet sitting. I knew there was something out there that would enable me to have both and to feel like I am contributing. When I found it I knew I'd found the perfect niche for me.
