Nery's Tree Trimming Service did a FANTASTIC job with the removal of our 40' pine tree. Nery and his team are very professional, careful with their work, conscientious in their clean up and care of our property and efficient. If you are looking for someone to do tree trimming, then save yourself the effort and HIRE them. We are very meticulous homeowners and we very pleased with the work that Nery did. For those of you who are worried about how workers will take care of your property like we are, I can assure you that he met our very high requirements. He is very punctual and is extremely efficient in their work. They don't rush things and make sure that they do everything to the highest satisfaction.

Domingo is a very nice gentleman. Professional and a good worker. My yards had gotten overgrown and it was just too much for me. Domingo responded right away, came out on a Monday morning to give me an estimate which we found very reasonable. He and his helper came on Saturday, cleaned up everything I had asked for and planted the new plants and flowers I had bought to replace what he tore out for me. We were so impressed he will be doing our yard maintenance from now on!

Had to delay the work a couple of weeks because of the rain. Finally able to get his crew over this past Friday and the work was done quick and clean. Not a trace left of the ghetto palm, hopefully. Too soon to tell if they got ALL the roots, but crossing my fingers this is the end of the seven year battle trying to kill that plant. It was easy to communicate what work needed to be done, and the price was VERY reasonable that I offered more work for them to do. Thsnk you Chris!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience with KC Removal Services. We hired them with only a days notice and they showed up right on time and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They were detail-oriented and handled our furniture with care. Plus they seemed like genuinely nice guys! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for well-priced movers.

Arthur was very prompt about completing my job. He mowed our lawn, cut back our bushes, blew the leaves out of our yard and weeded out planter beds. He has a vast knowledge of plants and is helping me determine drought tolerant plants to replace with in a memorial garden bed that has flowers with direct sunlight. I felt like he gave me a fair price for how fast he completed the job. It probably would've taken me a week to do what him and another guy did in a day. Will definitely continue to use him for my landscaping needs!

We were in serious need for new lawn maintenance services. Dave was quick to respond and appears to be a good communicator, which is a big deal since the last guy we had was terrible at it. He offers knowledgeable input and reasonable prices.

Showed up 10 minutes early, did a second walk around with me and when I thought an area could be done better, Jose took care of it with no attitude.

I am very pleased to have hired Adrian/AG Landscaping! Pros: hard-working, courteous, prompt with communicating back and forth, knowledgeable, efficient, reasonably priced and mindful of prices for items to be purchased. For special mention: Adrian seems to really care about plants, how they are treated and pruned, what's best for plant/tree health, soil and other many factors that go into being a real gardener in the context of other landscaping factors (hardscape, irrigation, etc.) The work is not yet completed, as it will require several work days. If yesterday's day #1 is a sample of the rest of the work, then I could not be more satisfied. Adrian listened to my description of the overall results I wanted and also to the specific items I wanted in the final result. He advised me on what he thought would not work and why, and, alternatively, on what would be good to do, which parts he could do and which ones would be best for other professionals. I know this process would not work for others, but it's perfect for me, because I am figuring out as I go the redesign of our landscaping. I will add to my review after the project is completed.

When he came to do an estimate, David offered very specific thoughts about what was wrong with our current landscaping and why certain plants were not growing. He also gave suggestions about what he could do differently. He showed up when he said he'd show up, he works hard, and he knows what he's doing. I highly recommend his services.

Friendly and knowledgeable. Real attention to detail. Good price for a pretty big initial job of clearing a heavily weed filled area. They're my go-to for lawn care and landscaping.

I've never been good with plants or anything green, so I gave up after trying on my own for a few months and contacted the professionals. And that is where I found Lawn Love - they quick to contact me back with a quote and I got service that week! My new lawn guy has been great - my back yard finally look like a home again. And he knows his stuff and was able to give me recommendations on my plants and flowers as well. Highly recommend!

They responded rather quick within few hours. I got my free estimate. It was worth of my time because the estimator was very nice, respectful and attentive to my needs. The offer was reasonable so I went for their services for over a year and half. They keep a constant contact with me to update me my lawn care status and reach out to me whenever I needed more services done. They go above and beyond than my previous companies I’ve worked with who were unreliable and hard to trust.

We recently moved to OC and had to find a lawn care service for our new house. We are so impressed by Lawn Love. We found Lawn Love and their team did a wonderful job making our backyard into a beautiful and inviting space. Customer service is what Lawn Love does best. They answered our email and phone requests, even though we had to reschedule numerous times. Then once the job was completed, they followed-up to make sure that it was done to our satisfaction. I recommend Lawn Love to all of my neighbors and anyone who is looking for professional lawn services!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have landscaping done?

Professional landscaping can help reinvent your outdoor space, boost your curb appeal and get a major return on investment with. Landscaping can encompass anything from adding new plants, trees and shrubs, to leveling the ground and laying sod for a lawn, to building in hardscaping such as sidewalks, water features or retaining walls. The national average landscaping price is $10,160. Landscaping prices can be far lower (with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150) if you’re only seeking professional help with softscaping or seeking consultation on landscape design. Softscaping means adding or changing horticultural elements, such as planting a garden or adding a hedge. Hardscaping is where costs can really start to rise. Hardscaping requires labor and heavy equipment to excavate the earth; you may need to pour concrete, or you may need a pro who can transport and place gravel and other inorganic elements. Your total landscaping cost will vary based on the amount of work you want done, how much labor is required, and the cost of the materials you are using. A good rule of thumb for a major landscaping project, according to the American Society of Landscape Architects, is to budget 5 percent to 10 percent of the value of your home.

How much does it cost to landscape your front yard?

Prices for landscaping your front yard can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the scale of your front yard project. Your landscaping price will reflect how much change you implement, how much labor is required, and the cost of materials.

Landscaping is typically made up of softscaping and hardscaping. Softscaping refers to selecting trees, bushes, flowers and plants to achieve a desired aesthetic and to meet goals such as having a drought-tolerant yard. Hardscaping refers to moving earth, installing structures, and putting in decorative stonework, sidewalks or lighting. For softscaping, you may want to hire a landscape designer to consult on your plants and layout, and then do the digging and planting yourself or hire a gardner to handle the heavy lifting. A landscape designer’s hourly rate may range from $50 to $150 or more. If you want a turnkey approach, meaning someone who works with you to create the vision and then executes all the work, landscaping pricing will typically come down to a cost per square foot rather than an hourly rate. It’s a solid investment: Great landscaping can add up to 28 percent value to your home.
