About this pro
I had the good fortune to get to play with Shawn on some gigs and to lay down some bass tracks on a couple of projects at his studio. He's a total pro and "gets" what it takes to bring out the good stuff in a player. He's paid his dues as a musician and behind the board and it shows in his work! Super nice, no ego, just great vibes and a can-do spirit. A real pleasure!Mar 6, 2013Shawn N.'s reply
Thank you Rick! The feeling is mutual :)
I've been recording off and on with Shawn throughout the past few years on multiple projects, and Shawn is always eager to help me get the results that I want. He is consistently supportive while I'm in my creative mode, and tactfully gives input w/o ego. A good dude to record with!Mar 6, 2013Shawn N.'s reply
Thank you for reviewing Pat! It's always a good time working with you in the studio.
Admittedly, Shawn's an old mate and we played in a band together back in the late 20th century. Medicine Man is currently recording there. I enjoy the laid back, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I like the sound we're getting. Shawn helps you get things done without getting in the way. He also makes a good cup of tea. I'm not sure how things could be improved other than putting a muzzle on the dog next door. *I think Shawn would agree with that!Mar 5, 2013Shawn N.'s reply
Thanks for the review Rob! It's great to be working with you all. The Medicine Man stuff is coming together nice!
We recorded a four song EP in about 6 sessions, using keyboards, drums, stand up bass, acoustic/electric guitars, and vocal tracks. With Shawn's expert recording knowledge and great communication skills, we were able to create just the sound we wanted. We would highly recommend his services to any band or artist that wants to sound like a professional.Mar 5, 2013Shawn N.'s reply
Thank you Dave, it was great working with you three on the EP! It really turned out great :)
Shawn Nourse, the engineer/drummer is extremely good in getting great sounds on a recording, His vocal production is really top shelf and the drum sound s really really good. Also, shawn knows his equipment so he does not waste time trying to figure out what is going on, very importnat when "time is money" literally. Whether a top professional or just starting out the sounds you get onto your recording will be better than you envisioned.Mar 5, 2013Shawn N.'s reply
