Noelle has been giving my 10 year old daughter Spanish lessons for about 5 months now and we have been very happy with how fast she is learning the language! My daughter adores Noelle and is genuinely excited for her lessons each week!Feb 16, 2019Verified
Noelle has been wonderful for my 17 yr old son's Spanish! She has helped him keep up with his lessons so that he doesn't fall behind in class-- and he has even gotten straight As since tutoring with Noelle began!Apr 27, 2019Verified
I’m not currently enrolled in a Spanish class, but I wanted to brush up on Spanish for future travel plans. Noelle has been great! Even though I did not come to her with specific questions or a curriculum, she was able to start her own curriculum for me that she thought fit my level best. We were not able to meet in person due to distance but we do everything on FaceTime and it has worked out wonderfully. She is always punctual and very easy to reach via text. I’ve appreciated my lessons very much!Jun 25, 2019Verified
I've been taking Spanish lessons with Noëlle for about a month now and I couldn't be happier with her as my teacher. I'm taking two lessons a week and I've already made some noticeable progress. Noëlle makes the lessons fun and tries to find ways to make me remember vocabularies that I have trouble with. She's also a super cool, friendly and happy person, which is an added bonus. I can't recommend her highly enough!Mar 12, 2018Verified
Absolutely love working with Noelle. She is patient and fun, making the lessons fly by! She is tough (in a good way) and dedicated to her work. She is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to learn Spanish.Sep 28, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have almost 18 years of experience teaching Spanish, and almost all of them have been from word of mouth. I am very thorough and detailed in my work and I make it fun, interesting, approachable and attainable. This is my Thumbtack fee, my regular fee is much higher. This is a good deal for the work I do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? If they're in school, I would first talk to them about what their needs are, where do they feel they're lacking a little, and focus on that. For adults students, I have them get a book I like to work with (quite inexpensive), and use my "read, write, hear, speak" method. I make my lessons fun, interesting, cultural, and I leave homework.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attended UCLA. I'm a graduate of the Civil, Medical, Criminal and Legal Interpreter and Translator Program -Spanish/English-Spanish/English. I've been teaching and tutoring children from Marlborough, Harvard-Westlake, Buckley, Pali High, Crossroads, Beverly Hills High, Archer, Brentwood and many other very prestigious schools for over 17 years with wonderful results. I've also worked with students and teachers from UCLA, USC, SMC, and other Colleges and Universities. And, I've had the pleasure to work with businessmen/women to improve their grammar, conversation and language skills for their work and for travel to better understand and communicate with co-workers, employees or abroad.
