Introduction: Unlike many photographers my age, I have had years of experience shooting film photography and developing and printing photographs in a dark room. I feel like this is one of my strongest assets, because it was in the dark room, shooting completely manual, and adjusting exposure times with the enlarger that I learned the fundamentals of post-production photo manipulation. Like drivers who learn how to drive manual, I learned how to use my film camera and new it backwards and forwards, making digital shooting natural and simple.

In past photo sessions, I have felt uncomfortable or unable to relate with the photographer, but Lauren made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Not only is Lauren's work absolutely wonderful, she was able to capture the essence of our relationship without looking too staged. Her photos are pieces of art that I will certainly treasure, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a photo session of any kind.

My photoshoot with Lauren was amazing. She let my sister and I put our own personalities into the shoot -- location, style, etc. However, she also added her own incredible artistic direction, and therefore the photos turned out amazingly. I would recommend her for photos of any kind. She made the experience fun and worthwhile with her direction and ability to capture one's own unique style. It was a blast and truly worth while!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All my current fees and packages can be found on my website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally consult over the phone or email to determine what a client wants out of their session. This is a vital part of the process that is often overlooked. Then we decide on a location and a price package from my website. The day of the photoshoot, we will meet and work for about 2 hours, I will edit the photos, and then a flash drive and/or digital files or prints will be sent to the client within the agreed upon timeframe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a photographer for almost 10 years, and I have had many different clients. I have also been a graphic artist for a few years now, and I have enjoyed working for Pepperdine University, and local bands such as Octahedron.
