FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are many options when doing home improvements so we do not have "standard pricing". We bid each project by the indviual needs and desire's of the owners. A roof for example: many buildings require more accessories than others and we don't want to charge for items you do not need. Patio covers vary by style material type, roof type ect. Painting is dependent on how many colors and preferred material. Access to the work (some projects require double or even triple handling of debris and new materials). We hope this gives a idea of what a contractor looks at when reviewing a project. Our pricing is very competitive. (We know were not getting rich on any single project.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always have to review the job site. Being thorough in the site review is essential. We do not give a low price and then tell you we need more money to compete your project. We include everything we can see. A quote is provided many times while we are there (depending on if material quotes are needed). We can usually get started in a couple of weeks. Project duration's vary depending on the scope of work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
39 yrs. of Building EXPERIENCE... 35 yrs. of Roofing EXPERIENCE... Licensed in General Contracting and Roofing... Continued Education with Building Codes, Continued Education with the Calif. Solar Initiative, Former manufacture's Technical Manager (understanding of the importance of "Tested Product Assemblies"), Constant Communication with manufacture's and building officials. COMMON SENSE ( unfortunately not that Common Anymore) A true understanding that we are working on "Your Property" and it must be clean throughout the process and be done by the required codes and specifications.
