Latest Review: I am a fairly ordinary, office-work type of guy, who is aware and tries to be healthy in his diet and have enjoyed going to the gym throughout the week for most of my adult life.
I decided to find a trainer because I've spent the last decade improving my health and physical fitness, but it's always been somewhat of an experiment; trying new workout routines, positions, machines etc., with some working out alright and others just not suited to me, and rather than spend another decade with hits and misses, I decided to seek out a professional and get some real direction.
I started training with Ryan three weeks ago and from our initial meet-up for discussing goals and session format, I felt excited and motivated from his attitude and clearly in-depth knowledge base.
The training sessions are challenging, varied, and set at a great pace. When our sessions are over, I leave feeling tired but definitely accomplished, which is something I've been missing from my usual solo, after-work gym sessions. Ryan has helped me identify some problems I have been having: form during certain exercises and motivational/mental hurdles I had placed on myself, both of which had been preventing me from taking full advantage of my training.
Ryan's positive outlook, clear explanation on the "how's" and "why's" of training, and supporting attitude (I have never been someone who responds well to the Mean/Psycho kind of motivation/coach,so this was extremely helpful for me) have made this experience invaluable.
And on a last note, I am beginning to note the changes in my body that I've been after for so long (both in raw strength and appearance), and knowing that I'm getting there safety and with a solid foundation to continue to build on, has made this one of the best decisions I've made for myself.
