About this pro
So far we are only at the design stage and we are very happy with his suggestions and design elements.Apr 21, 2018Verified
Great experience! Nikoya completely understood what we wanted. She answered us back immediately on all of our emails and text. When we got nervous about ideas she created a really cool 3D version of our living room that made it easy for us to see how it was going to look overall. It really helped us make decisions confidently. I want to use her for our master bath when we get ready.Oct 14, 2017
My son and I had moved from a large home to a much smaller condo. This change was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I had to consolidate a lot of my furniture and just decided that I wanted to start over. The most important spaces were my son's room and my bedroom. I wanted this transition to be as easy as possible for him. After a lot of research online, I found that JC Cross was the most reasonable and I loved that she was timely in responding to me. The process was a little long due to her schedule, but it was worth it because what mattered most was the outcome. Nikoya did a wonderful job with my room. It's exactly what I needed. It feels so good coming home to a room that i feel so comfortable in and that represents me. But my son's room was the best. She gave him storage and created a space that he is so happy in. Sometimes I have to beg him to come eat. He stays in there as much as he can. It's a relief for me that he has joy during this big change for us. It really helped us settle into the new journey our lives are on and Nikoya really cared about us as clients. I highly recommend her!Aug 6, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Design services are charged by the hour as well as a retainer fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1.Over-the-phone Consultation- here I am able to find out some details about your project and what you are looking for when it comes to style, service and function. This will allow me to put together a shorthand presentation of some concepts and ideas to show you on our first consultation. 2. Initial Consultation- allows me to find out more about your project and the needs as well as (the best part) getting to know you! Here we will take a look at my presentation, narrow down your design style and discuss your project. Lastly I will take measurements and discuss the contract. 3. Planning/Purchasing- This is the stage where we will begin purchasing and ordering materials for your project. This process is ongoing and requires a lot of constant communication and approvals (can be mostly via email and phone) 4. Installations- depending upon your project, the installation process will occur in pieces or all at once. ex. flooring will be installed before cabinetry. 5. Follow-up- This is the final consultation where I will come and see the final results of our design and make sure you are thoroughly pleased with your final outcome. NOTE: Billing will be done throughout the process on a bi-weekly basis. You can always opt to give the full budget amount up front, to make the purchasing process easier, or you can be billed as you go.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, in addition, I have over 10 years experience in interior design spanning from Professional color consultant, furniture buyer, Paint and wallpaper specialist and Model home design.
