Introduction: For your info, as of January 2022, I am fully vaccinated from COVID-19. I also got my COVID booster shot too. I care about my chess students since chess is my passion and I want my students to suceed. I am a very patient chess coach and chess book author. One of my books is endorsed by the 2019 & 2022 US Women's Chess Champion! I have been coaching kids and adults for the last ten years. Chess is a male dominated game and I am proud that I am a woman chess coach. I have a strong background in chess and have played in USCF rated tournaments for more than decade. My USCF chess rating is 1850. I also created 500 chess puzzles. I love sharing my knowledge with others and seeing them improve their chess skills! On another note: on March 2024, I recently broke the initial Guinness Book of World Records for the longest crochet scarf by an individual. The scarf is over 501 feet long!

Lauren is a wonderful chess teacher. She teaches both my husband and our daughter. They both like her and enjoy their lessons. I cannot wait to start my own lesson soon too. Lauren taught a Chess workshop for our Middle school. Beginners to Intermediate level all learned something new and found joy practicing with each other. Lauren was kind, patient, and encouraging.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 per hour for a one-on-one lesson. As of Feb. 1st, 2022, I am fully vaccinated from COVID by taking two Moderna shots, plus a booster shot.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For the initial lesson, I will ask a new customer what his or her personal goals are in chess. Then each lesson is tailored to the customer's goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I play chess often and solve daily chess puzzles to stay sharp. To help beginner chess players think before they move, I created 500 chess puzzles. I also wrote two chess books which are endorsed by top chess professionals. One book is endorsed by the 2019 US Women's Chess Champion!
