Introduction: I'm an interior design professional working in the industry for 15+ years, with a break in between to raise my family. I gained experience working for celebrity interior designers/decorators in New Orleans. I am launching my business after completing the 2-year continuing professional education program at The New School at Parsons out of New York, NY.
My practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for the unique qualities of individuals, history, cultures, and the idea of identity. Bringing a delicate sensibility to the task, I work to discover the details about you and your home to tell a story. My creative process starts with understanding the client and the unique design problem, then translating this into a concept that brings authenticity and harmony to a space, layered with texture, whimsy, compelling detail, and personality. I seek to use practical and sustainable materials that honor your lifestyle. My goal is to give people inspiring rooms full of soul and potential with a commitment to the idea that art and design can uplift and inspire humankind.
Besides being a creative spirit, a high level of organization and process is a fundamental part of my work. I need this foundation to be able to translate ideas into something that inhabits physical space. My work and the work I've contributed to companies big and small have consistently reflected an enthusiasm for creating efficient systems, leaving more room for creative freedom.
My clients are busy families or individuals who love design but need help interpreting their preferences, visualizing, and bringing everything together into a beautifully integrated and approachable space.
