I have been taking piano lessons for a month with Yvonne. I'm an adult taking piano lessons for the first time. She is patient, professional and punctual. I'm learning to read music as well as the foundation needed to play.
Mrs Martinez has been a huge help for me. I've been wanting to learn the piano for the longest time and I could not have chosen a better teacher. She's very caring, kind, well informed, patient, and encouraging. When I'd get frustrated in having trouble going through a certain piece, she would slow it down and take it step by step, all while being very patient. Doing so helped me tremendously and continue using the advice she's given me. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to take piano. My lessons with her were truly the highlight of my week. :)
I took guitar lessons from Harley for about three years. He is extremely flexible and will teach you what you NEED to learn as well as what you WANT to learn regardless of the type of music you're into. Lessons are never tedious or repetitious.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Ms Hicks for 5 years, and shows no signs of wanting to quit - which to me, is a hallmark of a positive, flexible, joyful piano teacher who listens to students, loves music, and passes that on to her students.
Alivia has helped me improve my son's and my own singing voices. She has been great with technique and has also worked on music theory. I plan to continue working with her as I am continuing to see improvement.
Jerry Pajel (Mr. J) is a passionate violin teacher. I have been taking violin lessons for one year now, and I must say that I learned so much in my first month of lessons. While teaching, he communicates effectively and makes learning the violin easy!
"I had guitar lessons with the Guitar Institute of Learning for a little over 3 years, and those years were the first 3 years I had in my experience of ever playing the guitar. I learned so much from my teacher. He taught me Jazz Standards, folk songs, and even things that were accommodated to my own interests as well! More importantly, I gained a life changing perspective from the songs, chords, melodies and harmonies that my teacher taught me. The concepts never get old. Guitar Institute of Learning does not just teach you how to play guitar, but how to practice it and how to become a great musician. It can be one thing to play an instrument, but to know how to play with other musicians requires a development of playing with others and applying your knowledge. Which is what guitar institute of learning can help you do. Everything I learned from GIOL literally changed my view and appreciation for music once I became more aware of the music world. I learned things that, once I looked back and realized what I was learning, I was so surprised and grateful that I was shown such great songs. I will always have a gratitude for the class and vast repertoire that they had opened me up to. As a musician, now playing guitar for 8 years, I would not be where I am today without those lessons. Knowing how important practicing everyday is, and finding how you define music will help you find an appreciation and motivation from and beyond these lessons." -Lawrence S. Abbott
Not only that Mrs. Schneider is such a very patient music teacher, she also is very encouraging. She really promotes relaxed learning ambience, no wonder my son likes her a lot---- and I thought students are very good judges of teacher quality. 😊 I have to say she is such a blessing, I wish I had found her on Thumbtack way sooner. My son had his very first piano recital just days ago and we couldn't be more proud for obviously he has learned a lot in just under a year of study. We are very pleased with his progress. Mrs. Schneider was born to teach. Thank you, Mrs. Schneider!
I completely recommend Amy as an violin teacher. She is an excellent teacher, is very patient, explains things very well and finds the way around to makes sure the student understands. Especially in my case that I am an adult that haven't had any music instruction since elementary school. She always provides helping tools such as websites and great exercises. You can definitely tell that she really loves teaching violin lessons!
Great teacher. Very patient and not intimidating and keeps the lessons interesting.

I teach piano, flute, and music theory. My primary language is Mandarin. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching music and am good at that. Now, I can have new students on Fridays.
My students benefit from my methodical approach. I emphasize good technique and a strong foundation in the fundamental. Avoiding a formulaic lesson structure allows each student to learn at his/her own pace.

Most clients enquire as to which model I teach from, or which style of instruction I employ, I tell them none, because no student is alike, and no one's talent is the same. I instruct for th purpose of learning. I modify my lessons and means of instruction for each student. Each lesson you take will be personalized to you as the individual, and the day.
