I was first introduced to Angela on zazzle, com in about July or August 2011 when she left a wall comment about the, um, unusual nature of my product designs. After looking at her zazzle store and some of her other work online, I asked her to design a website for me. It wasn't just any website advertising services or goods. It was a "personal" site and the catch was that it was about a fictional character I am developing, a self-important blow-hard Mayor of a dystopian fake town in north Florida, The Right Honorable Rantin N. Raven-Faux VI, The Mayor of Myassa, Florida ("Where You're Past is Our Future"). Angela immediately caught on to the absurd nature of the project, adding several features of her own which I liked. It was not to be a slick, noticeably polished site but it was polished in its own way because I thought she got the backwoods feel right in the visual aspects and the clumsy e-challenged presentation of the fake information I submitted to her.
She is very enthusiastic and willing to try anything asked of her and get it right, even if it looks wrong. She was clearly more concerned about my character than about making a slick site to attract customers, which she had already done very well several times. She is young and creative and not stuck into formula-driven work and her personal "image" was subjugated to the task she was asked to perform. That is a truly professional attitude in my opinion. I gave her free reign to experiment with anything she wanted to try.
Due to other distractions in my life, the website has been allowed to lapse at its previous host site, but I foresee it being resurrected with Angela hosting it in the next couple of months with "advancements" in important aspects of the character.
I do not hesitate to recommend Angela for any kind of design work. Incidentally, we have never met face to face. She lives in California and I live in Tallahassee, Florida (my model for Myassa). I think we've worked together well long distance.
